We had a large group, kids and adults, and the staff could not have been more accommodating when I called ahead. The bartenders and clean up crew were friendly, helpful, and efficient on a busy night. Atmosphere was great as they had live music, we were relaxed, our kids could hang and play games while adults hung out. Beer and variety of options for other beverages was also good. Food was much better than I expected…Above average bar food without the grease. Again, overall great experience today! I’d go back if I was in the area again. Thanks Max, Alec, and Adrian!! (Sp?)

Service and friendly was great. They were very busy for the game watch, but we got a table quickly and our food was out very fast too. Burgers were pretty good. Drinks were great. Definitely very loud and hard to talk, but I doubt its normally so loud.

Great experience. In from out of town for work. I got the original smash burger which was fantastic and a South Simcoe to drink. Hazy IPA that was really smooth. Service was fantastic. Sat at the bar and Madeline took care of me, she said she just started and this was her first solo shift. I couldn’t tell, served like a seasoned pro!

Visited while attending a car show in Indianapolis. Thank you for staying true to German Beer. I’m a pilot and travel often. I’ve been to hundreds of breweries coast-to-coast. Most places are putting their own twist to classic style beers where they’re unrecognizable. When I order a Dunkel I would prefer it actually tastes like a Dunkel; not someone’s twist or interpretation.

First time trying this place and have to agree with some of the other reviews about the food being hit and miss. We loved the pretzel but the burger (ordered with no bun) was dry, under seasoned and mediocre at best. Would not order it again. They don’t serve fries so I opted for the pickled veggies which were ok. As for service we went on a Friday, party of 2, and after ordering at the bar our food took 35 minutes which was long considering they weren’t at full capacity with several empty tables around us. Ambiance wise it’s a nice vibe. They had live music and several different seating options including some comfy sofas with coffee tables. If we go back we’ll probably just go for drinks and appetizers next time.

I wasn’t here too long, and it was on a Monday afternoon, but I enjoyed their beers and taproom. There were lots of comfortable chairs and they had lots of fresh air with all the open doors. Their beers I tried were good. My favorites were their hefeweizen and the kölsch. I could definitely imagine spending a leisurely evening here.

Another bike ride along the Monon and decided to stop and have a quick bite and a beer. You do have to go along a sidewalk on Roher road to get there from the Monon but it’s easily done. There is a bike rack, but if you choose the patio you can always lean your bike along the fence. Atmosphere is laid back. Place is clean and well laid out. Kids are welcome unless you want to sit in the bat section. Order drinks and food at the bar. Totally cool with me. Food was really good. Menu had a great selection and beer selection was good as well. Two different groups of people brought they’re dog with them. There’s a post by the patio to tie your dog up and the staff brought the dogs bowls of water. Kind and sweet of them. I definitely will be back.

Sometimes I’m just craving a smashburger and they do them up right here: nice crispy edges and delicious flavor. They also have fries now too which are better than a lot of other restaurant fries in the area. Food is cooked to order, so it always comes out nice and hot. The burgers are also fully customizable so just tell them what you want on it!
There are plenty of comfortable seating options and the inside is kid-friendly and the outdoor patio area allows dogs. Bonus: they have an indoor shuffleboard table.
During peak times, the registers can get backed up and quite the line will form. I recommend settling your bill ahead of time in these cases. Hopefully someday there will be an option to pay by phone remotely without having to wait in line. The entire staff is super-friendly and generally quick to help in any way.
All-in-all, a very nice spot to go, relax, and grab a quick bite.

Stopped in after a day of shopping. First sign you see is “please seat yourself”. We took a seat and no one stopped by to take our order, got up to see there are signs over the left side of the bar to order food and drinks there. Ordered some beer and snacks. First couple beers were rather flat tasting, good flavor but flat. We ordered queso nachos and Spicy sausage flat bread. Nachos not much more than snack bar nachos, the spicy sausage flat bread didn’t have much flavor. The BBQ sauce was over bearing, so couldn’t taste anything else. Nothing I’m dying to have again.

We so love this place! The food is totally on point, everything freshly made. Fantastic smash burgers, the coleslaw is fresh and crisp, fries are great, and their white bean chili is out of this world! Not to mention the fact that Cheryl, Adrian, Heather, Alex, etc. are wonderful people who greet everyone with a smile and efficient service! Kudos!
