We stopped by this Mexican restaurant by chance during our trip, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of the journey. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and lively—exactly what you hope for when you’re craving good food and a relaxed vibe.
The shrimp fajitas were absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, and packed with flavor in every bite. The shrimp were tender and fresh, and everything came together beautifully.
Great food, great ambiance, and a memorable meal we didn’t expect to find. Definitely a place worth discovering.

We stopped at Bienvenidos Mexican Restaurant for breakfast on our way back to Houston from Carlsbad, New Mexico. It looked like a very pleasant spot, and the waitress who served us—as well as the front counter staff—were very sweet and polite. We were seated immediately, and our food came out quickly. The food itself wasn’t anything to rave about, but the service was truly amazing.

One of the, if not the only Mexican Restaurant in town with Vegetarian Beans and Rice , and sautéed vegetables.
Great home cooked food , family atmosphere , beautiful employees.
No fast food business here.
Opened later than most Mexican Restaurants in the area.

Fort Stockton is a bit lost in the middle of nowhere, so there are probably other options, but we thought Mexican food, or rather Tex-Mex, might be a good idea in a place like this and this restaurant was the first we saw. I have to say that the food wasn’t bad at all, but the restaurant was empty and the atmosphere seemed a little strange to us. But that was also because we were tired after a long drive and had gone out early for dinner. Anyway, it’s a good choice if you like burritos, etc.

Fantastic experience all around! We had a party of 8 and were seated quickly. Daniella was amazing—super friendly and even let us bring our dog inside to avoid the heat. The barbacoa tacos were incredible—would absolutely order again. Others in our group loved the green chili pork and the fajitas. Great service, great food—we’ll definitely be back!

Our experience was okay. Some of the food was good and some of the food was bad. The street tacos were well cooked and tasty, but everything else felt a little cheap. The service was good. The atmosphere was okay. It wasn’t uncomfortable but it wasn’t great. Overall, it was okay but we wouldn’t come here again. The other Mexican restaurants in this area are much better.

12/30/25: We had the privilege of having dinner at this restaurant on our way home to Louisiana. It really was a 5-Star experience! From the HUGE portions of deliciousness (authentic and presented fresh and hot in just minutes), the impeccable service, and the great visit with the store owner – who made us feel like old friends who’d stopped in for a visit – we definitely recommend you not miss your opportunity to enjoy Bienvenidos!!

Great place to stop for breakfast or a casual lunch/dinner on the road. A 5-min drive off of I-10 but very much worth it. We stopped here on the way back from Big Bend NP and the service was spot on and very timely! We had their barbacoa breakfast dish and Southwest hamburger. Food was freshly made, delicious, filling and reasonably priced. Their coffee was better than at most roadside diners, and they let us take some to-go, which was very much appreciated.
Be prepared to pay a 3% charge if you use credit card.

Some of the the worst Mexican food we’ve ever had. What a bummer after a long days drive. We got the beef tacos. The beef had no flavor and the rice & beans weren’t much better. It was served on a greasy soggy corn tortilla. Corn chips were slightly stale and salsa was way too hot to enjoy. And no Margheritas? Avoid this restaurant!

We were driving back from Big Bend National Park and stopped here for a hot breakfast after being in the cold for days – this classic Mexican restaurant is exactly what we were hoping for! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious all for under $30 for us. We’ll definitely be stopping by next time we come out West!
