I really like this place. We’ve been here twice now and had an excellent experience both times. Yesterday my friend and I had curds and both varieties of smash burgers to share. I really enjoyed each in different ways. Both were cooked perfectly, just a bit of pink still inside but still having the browned, crispy bits that you desire on a smash burger. The curds were fried cheese perfection with a pepper dipping sauce and an apricot jelly dipping sauce. The latter won out because it really worked with the salty cheese. I also had the Blackberry Blossom Cider and my friend had the Moonshadow Porter. We sat at the bar in the tap room, which side note, the bar top is made of Labradorite! It’s so awesome. Our server was great and my friend even bought a growler of the Moonshadow to go… which I decorated with emergency googly eyes I keep in my purse. Overall 10/10!

We stopped in for a day bite and asked for recommendations for something delicious Amma fast. Waiter recommended the chicken and waffles. They did not disappoint!! Delicious!! (picture is it after I cut it up and forgot to take a picture before hand) I recommend getting the syrup and hot sauce!!

I had their Moonshadow Porter and Chicken & Waffles (SWEET). It was probably as good as any chicken and waffles I’ve had. The waffles are Liège. SWEET comes with maple syrup and diced pears. Next time I’ll try SPICY.
The service and ambience were great! We sat in a quaint booth in the back.

My wife and I were staying at the Grand Hotel and wanted to find a local bar with local craft beers and above average lounge food options. Autumn and Bill from the Grand Hotel both recommended Bickerdyke’s Tap Room. We went in later afternoon and knew shortly after entering that we made a great choice.
I believe they had 24 brews on tap, which made selecting a taste you were in the mood for easy. The barmaid (Amber) was very knowledgeable and provided tasting of whatever tap you were interested in trying. The food we had was awesome and reasonably priced given the quality. If you arrive between 3 and 5 PM during the week, the Happy Hour was $2 off pints, and 25% off small plates. This made everything just a bit better.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and drinks. We look forward to visiting again on our next trip through Mt. Vernon.

My son and I recently stopped into Bickerdyke Tap for lunch and had an overall enjoyable experience. It’s a smaller establishment — only about six four top tables plus seating at the bar — but the space feels comfortable, welcoming, and like a good place to relax over a meal and a drink. The service was one of the highlights. Our server was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving at a nice pace. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. We tried three dishes: the Fish & Chips, the Potstickers, and the Bickerdyke Burger. The Fish & Chips came with a tasty house slaw, though the batter on the fish could have used a bit more seasoning, and I did encounter a few bones, which took away from the experience slightly. The Bickerdyke Burger was good and cooked well, but I personally would have enjoyed a bit more seasoning to make the flavors pop. The potstickers had a nice texture, and while they weren’t bad, the ginger was a little stronger than expected and tended to overpower the other flavors. Even with a few minor critiques, we still had a pleasant visit. The atmosphere and service alone make it a place worth returning to, and I’d be interested in coming back to try more items from their menu. This spot is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

We went to bar and tap room. The atmosphere was so welcoming friendly, and unique. The bartenders were very knowledgeable. Had the prezels and cheese sauce for a snack. The cheese sauce was amazing. Also the the hazelnut old fashion was yummy. No strong whisky after notes.

Eat here.
We had ginger and cardamom sidecar, cherry margaritas for drinks. Worth it.
Food: pierogis and pretzels for apps. Flawless execution. Perfect accompaniments.
Fish and chips – perfectly battered and cooked, curry tartar was a perfect finish.
Bleu cheese smash. Oh my gosh. The. Perfect. Bite. Flawlessly executed.
Pear and pistachio salad. My taste buds will never forget this experience. I will dream of the perfectly balanced sweet, savory, and tart. The chicken tenders we added to the salad balanced everything out. And the salad dressing. Wow. Just wow.
And none of this touches our waitress’ perfect customer service. Positive, upbeat, explained the menu, offered her favorites. A lovely, lovely experience.

The food is so delicious. The Hazelnut Manhattan was wonderful. They were short handed so service was slow. But the staff was super nice. Highly recommend. Just need to be patient if they are short handed. But well worth the wait.

The atmosphere of this building is worth seeing even if you aren’t in need of a meal. Super cool. All of our food was hot, and the cheese curds were especially good.
