I’m really glad I found this place.

Food tastes fresh and delicious. I love that I can get a healthy serving of vegetables and proteins as tasty Korean food.

I have tried the Bibim Bap (Vege Lover) and added the spicy pork, and then the Jim Bap (Bento style, with rice, Spicy pork again because its delicious, vegetables and some appetizers)

The kimchi is pickled well and tastes delicious. They do make everything fresh here from scratch.

I plan to come back for sure, and try the noodles next (Jjolmyeon which is a spicy chewy cold noodle)

Also, they serve barley tea with the meals (cold in the summer time and hot in the winter time) and I love barley tea.

Place is also clean and has a nice vibe.

I’ll be back!

Delicious and filling! I ordered the Ssam bap with bulgogi takeout – highly recommended for the first time since you get a wide variety of menu items: rice, choice of meat, dumplings, korean pancake, veggies, and lettuce/cabbage for mini wraps! Was not thrilled with the wait–about 15 minutes for my order to come out, but I do think they cooked everything from scratch which is good! I agree with other reviewers: very healthy options that pack a lot of flavor, a cute, colorful decor with a good amount of seating, and a nice range of Korean dishes. It’ll definitely be my new neighborhood food spot!

Omg. I can not say enough about this place! The food is probably the best korean food I ever had. Is soo delicious! I will drive 50 miles to come back just for the food! We ordered dekkbokki, teriyaki tofu, korean ramen and the cup bap with spicy pork bbq and all of it was so delicious! I will definitely be back!

While the concept of Bibim Town is appealing, my recent experience fell short of my expectations. Overall, the dishes I tried were underwhelming, lacking the vibrancy and flavor I associate with Korean cuisine.

The biggest letdown was the pervasive sogginess that affected multiple dishes. The veggies, normally a textural highlight, were limp and watery. The kimchi pancakes, which should be crispy and savory, were sadly saturated and lacked any real kimchi punch. The dumplings, too, suffered the same fate, their wrappers falling flat and flavorless.

The rice cake stew, while edible, failed to impress. It was more of a simmered mix of ingredients than a flavorful, cohesive dish. I missed the depth and complexity I typically find in Korean stews.

Bibim Town has some work to do in terms of texture and taste. Addressing the sogginess issue and infusing dishes with bolder, more authentic flavors would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

Also, the serving station for the veggies was literally bowls of veggies sitting on ice. They don’t not look appealing and unfortunately tasted the same way.

A clean restaurant. Food is good. I ordered J-Bop. meat option: spicy pork. I asked for no egg. Black/purple rice. Food is tasty. Loved the banchan and the pork. Korean pancakes are made from cabbage which still tastes good but different from the chive based ones I am used to. Glad they opened up this place in north suburbs.

May 2024 update: The J bop is so delicious. Really loved the spicy pork which is Korean’s equivalent to Mexican’s al pastor in the culinary field in my humble opinion. The dumpling and Korean pancake are tailored to the local American taste but doesn’t take away authenticity. The pancake no longer has the noticeable cabbage flavor that I mentioned in the past but still tastes good. Customers are a mix of Koreans and Americans so you can hear Korean in the background.

Bright and inviting atmosphere. I ordered to go, but kind of wish I ate in. The food was also very fresh and had lots of different flavor profiles. I had the dumplings, pancakes, and spicy pork. I will be back to try more. I’m already recommending to friends and family.

GO HERE. Note they are moving locations after July 2022 to Mundelein (photo notes address). absolutely delightful food. The menu is smallish, but that is a good sign — shows that they do those things really well. I got the bibimbap with tofu and an egg. I tried to eat the whole thing but honestly the portions are so generous you could share with 2 people. Staff were kind and friendly.
