FOOD:
The Black Fettuccine w/ Lobster is intense. If you enjoy seafood, you will probably like it but the black noodles are interesting. Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp is pretty good. The shrimp are a decent size and the flavor is good. The Farfalla Alfredo is also good. I enjoy the panceta, with the onions and peas. It is a more diverse flavor. The kids had the penne pasta w/ meat sauce and they also enjoyed it. Nothing blew me away though.
SERVICE:
The service here is really good. It is definitely above a lot of other places. I would not say it is exceptional or above-and-beyond, but it is good. The servers are very courteous and helpful.
ATMOSPHERE:
The atmosphere is really nice. It has the look of an Italian winery and it is very spacious. There are lots of areas to sit. There is also a really nice waiting lounge at the front. It is very clean inside.
Overall, Biaggi’s is a pretty good Italian restaurant leaning more on the fancy side. It is leagues above Olive Garden and Carrabba’s, but falls short of an authentic “Mom and Pop” Italian restaurant. It leans more towards “Corporate” Italian food. I would still recommend it to others.
Our waiter was incredibly professional, delivering an experience of fine dining, using ma’am and sir. Service was slower, but again… it was busy.
We shared a Cesar salad. AMAZING Cesar dressing and perfect crunch. The bread is homemade and INCREDIBLE! We liked it so much we took some home with us. The waiter also brought us a small bag with extra bread. My husband ordered the Braised Short Rib Ravioli and I ordered the Farfelle Alfredo. Both foods were DELICIOUS. So much flavor and great texture. The only tiff I have was the chicken in my pasta was a bit dry, possibly overcooked.
On the pricier side, but it was worth it with the food and drinks. We ordered a shared Cesar, two entrees, 2 cocktails, and a wine and the total came up to just shy of $100 putting us over with the tip.
Biggest critique,.. dim the lighting, work on noise reduction, and quicker service on busy evenings.
Everything said, we do recommend Biaggi’s.
They have bread on the table, fresh and ready along with olive oil, parmesan, and fresh ground pepper. But, ask for the extras to kick up that bread dipping experience: garlic, basalmic vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Your taste buds will thank me.
Entrées are authentic and flavorful (much better than those fake and overpriced rip-offs).
Highly recommend trying this place for superior, authentic Italian cuisine.
And, they even have a gluten free menu for those that need it. Come hungry!
The wife and I thought we had a little gem we could go to whenever we were in the mood for a good pizza and some appetizers. It was great for a while… we’ve probably been a dozen times previously. But after this latest visit, we will not be returning. Our standard order: pepperoni pizza and French onion soup. At some point in the past months, management has totally changed these items. The photo of the whole pizza was taken in Dec 2023. Large, crisp pepperoni, zesty sauce, a nice bake. The other photo was last night. That was all I wanted to eat of it. Thick, doughy, undercooked, flavorless, tiny pepperonis, and the cheese just didn’t seem right. I’m not exaggerating about the quality… it is the same pizza I expect at a children’s party restaurant.
The French onion soup was equally sad. Previously it was a deep brown, hearty, and full of onions and flavor. Last night it was… grey. And almost all bread. Very little cheese, light on the onions, and like the pizza, almost flavorless.
The staff, which in the past had been attentive, never once came to check on us after the food came to the table. We suspect they are tired of hearing customers complain about the decline in quality.
Maybe the rest of the menu is still fine? But we don’t go for the rest of the menu. Management has obviously decided to not only raise prices, but seriously cut the quality of the items we like. I’ve watched many restaurant chains disappear in my time. This is the first sign of impending failure. I hope they return to the quality we previously enjoyed. But that’s not the way these things usually work.
