Originally known as The Lion Inn, our restaurant has been serving guests since 1998 offering a unique blend of flavours and hospitality. In August 2024, Bharat was proudly taken over by our Head Chef Mr. Azad, who has been part of our family for over 20 years. Absolutely fabulous food & service, great flavours. We had a party of 11 people & as can be expected we had a little wait but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend the Bharat & I am a big curry lover.

We went here for the first time on Saturday with my daughter and her partner and it won’t be our last. Although very busy with the party season kicking in, the staff were very attentive and the food arrived very quickly and was very good. I cannot praise the staff enough with how busy they were they always made sure we weren’t wanting for anything

Fantastic restaurant, the food is first class. Atmosphere is excellent and the staff are superb. Service is fast and efficient and very friendly.
I highly recommend the Bharat, it’s a must go to place.
It also has a very small cozy bar, a bonus for an Indian restaurant, you can chill and have a beer as you wait for a table. Best to reserve as it does get busy.

Highly disappointed due to the combination of terrible service paired with high prices.
Right from the start the service was unprofessional.
We hardly got a welcome when we walked into the restaurant and when we asked if they could seat a group of severn we got a blank look in return which seemed funny being as the place was practically empty! We were put on a table which was in its own little section of the restaurant with no other people around us. NOT busy at all. After placing our drinks order, the waiter abruptly slammed the drinks on the table which we found very rude and unnecessary. We were a very accommodating group so there was no need for this. The staff clearly didn’t look like they wanted to be at work!
The food was decent however the price of the platter was not reflected well in the portion size!
Highly doubt if we’ll ever come back here ourselves let alone recommend this place to friends!

The ambience is pleasant. Especially i liked the idea of Raj Bhai(owner) serving dishes on a candle tray covered so that it will be warm. As we are vegetarians, tried some chef special dishes as suggested. It was great and recommended to others as well. Thank you so much Raj Bhai for such a beautiful evening in your restaurant.
