The food was very good. We enjoyed ourselves.
Was surprised to see that the room is not at all as pictured in many of these photos. It is very small maybe only four tables. The tables weren’t clean when we walked in and neither were the chairs.
The price I was a bit high I thought.
It is located right on Zacateras, which was bit noisy. Being on the second floor does help though. All in all we enjoyed ourselves.

We were served over fermented Naan which was smelling sour and wasn’t edible. People who aren’t Indians will get a wrong idea of Indian food. They changed it on our request but wasn’t expecting such food.

Did takeout.. Butter chicken was meh, not authentic. Saag Paneer was spicy and okay but also not authentic and the mixed vegetables had an oily flavour and looked tired, not particularly fresh. If you’re looking for excellent Indian food- keep looking for.

2022: My wife found this place on Google maps. We were very surprised to find an entire food court hidden behind the doorway. The food was very good and spicy. We had shrimp jalfrezi and chicken Rogan Josh. We would definitely have either dish again, or try the many other options available. Great little place!
2023: Returned to SMA, returned to Bhaji. This place continues to be 5-star for us. Spicy, flavorful, yum yum yum! We had the Rogan Josh chicken (again) and the Ceylon chicken. Bhaji will be a regular stop for us as we travel through!

The food is served with British Curry House styles, which varies the presentation of dishes but keeps the same delicious flavor. Enjoyed the chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, and mango lassies. The samosas had a different presentation, and flavor was decent.

I’m sorry to say this was terrible and felt the need to complain and take a picture. In the picture, anyone paying 500 pesos,.wouldn’t be happy. The Nan bread was extremely small, although tasty, hardly any chicken, and the small container size didn’t even reach the top. It took me under 5 mins to eat. It was more like a snack then a meal. Maybe the restaurant is ok but takeaway – never again. My apologies. I don’t like giving poor feedback publicly to small businesses, but this is simply not good enough. I’m still hungry!

My wife and I had dinner at Bhaji Curry House. The dishes had Indian names, but were not authentic. The mango lassi was very watery. The onion pakoras were dense and chewy. The chicken vindaloo (which the menu said was the spiciest dish of the house) was not spicy at all. The garlic naan had no garlic or butter, and was thin and dense. The rice was either old or undercooked (some grains were semi-transparent).
Overall the flavors were OK, but the quality doesn’t match that of most Indian restaurants (especially at over $800!)

My regular spot for delicious, Indian comfort food. Highly recommend.

A great little place, recently moved from the “food court” of Mercado del Carmen to its own little space. The food is fantastic, and much more than you would expect out of an Indian restaurant in the middle of Mexico. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Only one criticism: the garlic naan could be a little more garlicky and oilier, but I’m speaking to my preferences, not everyone’s.
