Went to BGR to grab a burger in person with my family. We had ordered from there before and thought it was really tasty so we had to get eat in the physical location. The staff was very friendly and explained the menu, they had multiple sauce options and burger toppings. The burger and fries came out delicious and made to order, and was decently priced at 13$ for bacon cheeseburger by itself. The interior was very casual and they had plenty of high chairs for small children. Would definitely go back, was so hungry I completely forgot to take a photo of the food. Took one star out for cleanliness but overall solid burger spot

1/3/26 – Dinner time
The only remaining one in my area and I HOPE it wont go away. I hate that the Old Town Alexandria left first, then the Arlington one . But awesome job by the crew on this one. Typical BGR spot like the rest, best burgers in town. Pat helped us out with perfect orders for burgers, fries, shakes. Its another 10 miles to get here from my old spot in the old Arlington shop, but worth it for a total of 24 miles to get a real hot, juicy and tasty burger.

this was my first time there and it was very delicious! I got it the works with a gluten free bun, the salted caramel truffle shake, and shared sweet potato fries with a friend. because the shakes are hand spun we were offered cups for water while we waited, which was awesome. All places should do that. workers were friendly, and it was easy to find straws, silverware, etc. shake was good beginning to end. sweet potato fries hit the spot. we hung out for a while and they kept very tidy.
The gluten-free bun did have the problem that all gluten-free buns have, where before you are done with your burger the sauce and juices have destroyed the bottom bun. not a knock on this place, it’s just what we have to have with gf buns. the person taking my order also seemed knowledgeable about what is/isn’t gluten free, and how much gluten, and that was refreshing. The burger was very good though, next time I’ll just eat it upside down.
also a good mix of music playing and overall nice atmosphere.

First time here and had a great experience. Juicy, messy burgers and fries. Like the vintage atmosphere with canvas album covers and music playing from 70s and 80s.

when I walked into this little utopia for the first time, I immediately felt at ease from the smell of the tasteful food, the sound of a soothing sizzle of a masterpiece at work, and music that perfectly matched the feeling of euphoria. As I ventured deeper into the building, I came across the holy grail of all burgers, the BGR Works lunch Special. At first this looked as any special meal combo might. With tomato’s, pickles, grilled onions, lettuce, cheese, and a seemingly normal patty. But less than 3 minutes after I had ordered, the food was already at my platter. It looked normal, not unlike any other burger I have ever had, but the first bite completely reworked my views and ideals of burgers for the foreseeable future. As I dove into the combo meal of a large burger, with fries and a drink, it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. The first bite was euphoric, comparable to the feeling of holding your newborn son for the first time, or making a half court shot on a buzzer beater. The second bite was more of the same, and the third. until I had completely obliterated this gift from God. As I finished, I took a sip of the dr. Pepper I had gotten from the soda machine, and it was unlike anything I had ever tasted. Somehow even after the burger, they keep impressing me even into the fries. The fries tasted like victory. Almost as a trophy for overcoming the filling meal that had once sat before me. After being drenched with the juices of my medium well burger, the fries tasted almost heavenly, as if they were the apex predator of the food world. So as I exited this beautiful utopia of a restaurant, I felt very complete knowing that anything I have had or will ever have, cannot top this masterpiece of an experience such as this one.

Food and service are usually good. Wifey and I like to get burgers here on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Maybe we’re a little spoiled… So, when I say “usually good,” they’re still much better than say, a burger from a diner. There were multiple times 2-3 years ago when they got an order wrong once or twice over a 4-5 month period, but that hasn’t happened to us in a couple years. Only bad thing food-wise is the shakes no longer come with whipped cream (or they haven’t had it in stock for months to a year now – the online order has always had option greyed out, and when I ask in-person (every time I go) they say they don’t have any whipped cream. Update: today, 27Jan2026, they had whipped cream for the first time in like a year). The only real “bad” part atmosphere-wise is the floor. The floor from the bathroom up to the register and pick-up area is very sticky, and has been for at least a year or more. Not sure if it’s grease from the grill and they don’t mop, or if it’s the type of flooring that just isn’t easy to clean, but every time I walk in here, my shoes start sticking to the floor about 1/2 way into the store.

GREAT FOOD! I got the Mushroom Swiss burger, well done, and it was excellent…cooked all the way thru but not burnt. Excellent flavor. We also ordered fries, extra crispy….and they were Perfection….the best I have ever had! Great eating experience.

First time eating here and ordered the burger shown below with Parmesan garlic fries. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is cute and clean on the inside. It pays homage to old school 80’s music vibes. The staff were friendly too. Would eat here again.

BGR used to be one of my favorite burger spots in the area, mainly because of the great flavor. Unfortunately, lately the burgers have been getting noticeably smaller and thinner. I’m not even sure what the current patty weight is anymore.
The flavor is still there, which is why this is disappointing — I’d gladly pay a bit more if it meant getting a bigger, more substantial portion again. I really hope BGR considers offering a larger patty option, because the taste has always been one of my favorites.

my mom and i went here before our concert a few weeks ago. we are always hesitant with burger places because we are burger fanatics. It was our first time here and let me tell you the burgers are uhmazzzziing so are there fries. not only was the food great but the employees were so nice and welcoming! one of them even gave us a discount because it was our first time there! food came out in a timely manner (but that was also cause it was us and like one other couple) but still that counts for something. i’ve been to places where it’s just one other person and the food takes 5ever.
10/10 resteraunt, food, and experience. If my mom and I ever come back up this way for our concert, you are our go to spot
