I used to go here when I was a youngster.. I was in the area and decided to call in an order.. Whoever answers the phone should not just say “hello”, acknowledge the establishment. When I was waiting for my order he did the same thing and I know the asked if they were calling Beverly Pizza. When you walk in there is no one at the counter to greet you. Just an annoying experience. Pizza was okay but over cooked. Definitely not impressed, get a new cook with a personality

I’m a huge pizza buff. I saw on a social media post where they mentioned the top pizza places in Bridgeport. Massimo’s (which I love) and Beverly’s received the most nods. So of course I had to try it. I ordered a large cheese, a large pep, and a small Margherita pizza. I was not impressed. It was decent pizza. I have a “try every place twice” rule because it could of been an off day. I couldn’t imagine any restaurant batting a 1000% each and everyday. The Margherita pizza had an over whelming amount of oregano, and it was very different from the Margherita pizzas I’m use to. I will change my rating my second time around if it improves.

Definitely lost its touch… We’ve been eating at this pizzeria for decades, but unfortunately as prices have increased, quality and care for the food has declined.

Paid for two medium pies, but received what appeared to be smalls and the pies were overcooked. And unfortunately this wasn’t the first time that we were disappointed with our purchase.

We can appreciate that this is a family owned business, but you can tell by the output that the current owners don’t have as much pride for the product.

There’s no pizza around like Beverly! It was our family’s favorite pizza and a staple in our house!!!! I love that google listed it as a hidden gem!!!! So true!

I grew up in Fairfield by the Marina and my family had Beverly Pizza at least once a week for my whole childhood. Chris was the best and the last time I saw his son, he was the same! Regulars become family… my parts are now gone and my siblings no longer live near by but when we are in town, it is a must stop for us!

Am from India and after checking a lot of reviews we visited this place back in early October with my family for a good old American Pizza. And it sure didn’t disappoint. And just to check if we liked just cos we are first timers we ordered from other nearby places too and nobody came close to this. The old school charm of this place is also something.

Extremely Disappointed
I placed an order a week in advance to be picked up at noon. Their posted opening hours say 11 AM, yet when I arrived at 12:15 PM, no one was there and my pizzas hadn’t even been made. The employee showed up late and told me it would be another 10 minutes. Despite the inconvenience, they refused to offer even a small discount, and the staff member was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I drove all the way from Florida looking forward to having pizza and was completely let down by this experience.

Where do I start? I’ve been told about this place a few times over the years and being from New Haven, we have a high standard for what we consider to be a “good pizza.” However, tonight was one of those Sundays where none of the local places were open after 8-9pm and it just dawned on me to check if this place was open, and they were! I took the ride down to Bridgeport and outside of the places being extremely clean inside, they have a nice location, but the Pizza??? Absolutely one of, if not THE, best pizza i’ve ever had! they blew all my expectations out of the water and the pizza was just perfect! I’m thankful I gave this place a shot and they’ve become my favorite place just that quickly. Amazing and friendly staff! Check these guys out!
