From the moment I walked in, my mouth was watering!
The ranch and blue cheese dressings are homemade and delicious!
The tomato bread is garlic toast with fresh tomatoes, provolone, EVOO, and fresh basil.
The eggplant parmesan was large and in charge, served with 2 pieces of garlic bread and salad.
The cheese pizza is made with provolone and not mozzarella which was a delicious choice!
Finally, the stromboli is made for 2! Golden, crispy exterior packed with goodness!

Cute little place. I wasn’t thrilled with the pizza but I am picky. I will go back to try the other things. Our friends got some pasta dishes and said they were wonderful. So I will go back

Great food & service. Will definitely eat there again. I had the 10 piece Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings and the Tomato Bread, my husband had the Sampler (Lasagna, 1 stuffed shell, 1 spinach manicotti, angel hair and meatballs topped with house made marinara and mozzarella, served with salad and garlic bread). For dessert, I had the Tiramisu which was delicious (unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the Tiramisu).

We have not eaten here in years but had company stopping by so ordered a medium pepperoni and a medium everything pizza. About $36. We were so disappointed. Pepperoni had minimum pepperonis-2 pieces per slice and the other was the same as far as toppings. They were scarce. Crust was thin, crunchy and overcooked. I wish my husband had looked at them before leaving. I guess next time we will just go to Dominoes or get frozen and add to them. So sad because many years ago they were so good. I wish I had taken pictures.

Does this pizza look good to you? It’s soggy! It looked like it was slung in the box when it was too hot, and it moved all the cheese and sauce to one side. It’s also too well done. There was 1 customer in there eating at the bar when I picked up my pizza. When I called to ask questions, they hung up twice, then picked up and stated,”Thank you for calling Betty’s, we’re closed and don’t talk to customers.” This was at 9pm on the dot. I was there less than 10 minutes prior. When they picked up the 4th time, they tried to say the same thing again. I had to beg the person not to hang up on me. This pizza is bad, and so is the customer service. I was told they were short staffed, the owner had an emergency, and something about a cook. Now I know why they only have 4.2 stars. Never eat at a place with less than 4.5 stars….

We ordered a 6” meatball sub that was absolutely delicious. The pepperoni pizza was amazing (better than chain restaurants) and the crust was perfect. The service was great since there was barely anyone in the restaurant. Overall one of the best restaurants I’ve seen in melrose.

Delicious! The service was perfect, the atmosphere relaxed and inviting, the menu had a good number of Italian options without going overboard! I got a Stromboli that was downright gorgeous! The marinara on the side was some of the best I’ve ever had. My son got a calzone he said was perfectly cheesy with ricotta and mozzarella – just the way he loves them. He subbed bacon for the ham. Husband got a dinner plate that came with a nice side salad, angel hair pasta with sauce and meatballs, spinach and ricotta manicotti, and garlic bread. He can’t wait to get that plate again! The portions were huge for a very reasonable price. None of us could finish our food and took the rest home for midnight snacks.
