I recently visited Betty Market and Restaurant for the first time and had a great experience. They sell real teff injera, which is fantastic. I ordered breakfast, and the food was good, with the chechebsa, firfir, and injera being particularly lovely. The restaurant was clean, and the service was welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Great injera w real teff but you have order early / by noon for pick up. They offer fresh Jebena buna , they don’t switch up the beans on you like other places would to speed up the service. Reasonable prices for lentils and other groceries

Had a wonderful experience from the moment we stepped in until the moment we left. The owner treated us like family. Friendly, professional and with a great smile and great African stories. The feeling is of pure calm, relax and the ambience is super clean and airy. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. Every bite was a woooowww!
We recommend the n.4 spicy beef tenderloin in a thick rich tomato onion sauce. Looking forward to going back. Thank you.

I very much enjoyed my visit at Betty Market & Restaurant. Came in for a late lunch. Had a veggie platter and I was curious what the sauce is giving in Ethiopian Spaghetti. The food did not disappoint. It was very fresh and well seasoned. I was impressed that the Nijera bread is made with actual Teff which means it’s gluten free! I could tell right away it’s not a heavy yet light and fluffy as to other Ethiopian places. From the market I got some Himbasha bread. I’m going to have it for breakfast. I will be back.

The best Ethiopian food ever. It’s a must to check out this place. We had the veggie combo and shiro and it was fresh and tasted amazing! Definite recommend for anyone vegan/vegetarian. The portion size is really good as well compared to other Ethiopian restaurants. The owners Johnny and Betty gave us the most authentic experience with the coffee ceremony and pop corn which is a plus!

I have eaten at every vegan restaurant in Los Angeles county and Betty’s is by far the absolute best! The owner makes you feel at home and like your family, the food is absolutely impeccable and always consistent in quantity, quality and flavor. The service is phenomenal and I never wait long. I love this place and I pray it stays open for generations! Please support Betty’s, share it via social media, word of mouth and bring any and everyone you love. They deserve every dollar and all the support in the world. This is and will always be my favorite place.

The location is not good, on a street with view of the cars but once inside the tiny restaurant is clean and cute.
The highlight is definitely John, the owner, attentve, polite, informative and with this great positive energy and greater smile.
Food did not disappoint, was fresh, delicius and tasted homemade. I will recommend it, you don’t have to be Ethiopian to love this genuine food. Taste the love they put in to prepare it. Will be back
