I came into Betty’s Diner for lunch on Valentine’s Day. I expected it to be really crowded, but it was actually moderate, which was nice. It seemed like there were only a couple of waitresses scheduled, but we were still seated quickly.
It did take a little while for our waitress to come to the table, and the food took about 26 minutes to arrive, which was understandable given the staffing. We did try to get our waitress’s attention several times throughout the meal, but we weren’t attended to as much as we needed to be, which made it a bit challenging when we needed napkins or cutlery.
I ordered the Blitz Great American hamburger, which was good, though it felt fairly similar to other burgers I’ve had. I also ordered the mint chocolate chip shake and some fried cheese curds—both were very good and reasonably priced. Overall, the food quality was solid.
One thing I would suggest improving is the portion size for sides. I ordered onion rings and only received five, while my friends who ordered burgers received a generous amount of fries. A slightly larger portion of onion rings as a side would have been appreciated. Another small issue was that the food was quite greasy, so napkins were definitely needed, but we didn’t receive them until much later into the meal. We also weren’t given any cutlery, which made it difficult for my friend who ordered cheesesteak fries.
That said, I understand the restaurant may have been short-staffed, especially on a holiday. Overall, I had a great experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too loud, and I would definitely come back again. I’d just love to see a bit more consistency with side portions—especially onion rings—as five felt a little light for a side order.

This restaurant is a must if you have an interest in WWII history. The decor is amazing with all sorts of WWII memorabilia. The food is also excellent, the burgers are massive and you won’t leave here hungry. They also have really good milkshakes that are big enough to share. We came here on our honeymoon and loved it.

Amazing! I was hesitant to go in at first, but a local convinced me and I’m so glad they did. My husband and I loved it. The hamburgers and fries tasted like real food and reminded me of my childhood. We might even go back one more time before heading back to Florida tomorrow. Highly recommend!

I found my self downtown at Forsyth Park, and was looking for something to eat, and decided to come here. Granted, they were busy, but it was worth the wait. Lots of different burgers to choose from, they had salads and sandwhiches too. The burgers were delicious, staff was friendly and milkshakes were fantastic. Give them a shot next time your in the area.

Great casual restaurant inside the American Legion. Food was excellent, SOS sandwich and cheesesteak were delicious. And they have fried cheese curds and yummy milkshakes. You can get wine or adult beverage just down the hall in the cash bar and bring it into restaurant. Loved the WWII decor and the old radio show and music. Nicki was an excellent waitress and just a beautiful person. Glad we found this treasure.

Located in historic American Legion Post 135 near Forsyth Park. Bar is filled with locals. No frills. Strong cheap drinks. Game nights. Actual Betty Bombers is the vintage themed aircraft diner within. Classic lunch/dinner diner menu. Burgers are great although you can’t specify temp. Wings are on point but on smaller side. Sides are okay. Go for the burgers. Super friendly staff and clean. Plan ahead hours are not late night like the Bar. But when sitting at the bar, they will deliver your order from the diner after placed on their side.

The food is always incredible. I enjoy the military memorabilia. The price is pretty reasonable. I like to order the classic bomber, a Cheeseburger with lettuce tomato, and onion.
