The birria is excellent taste just like the one across the bridge from La Piedad Michoacán. It is pricey but it is worth the price and the drive, I drove two hrs just to get there and two back. The place looks clean but if you are looking to eat in a quiet place it is not here, there were so many toddlers and young children that kept going in and out of the kitchen and behind the cashier area that were way too loud. There are only two bathrooms one for men and one for women, at one point the cashier locked herself in the female bathroom so I ended up using the man’s bathroom. Also the place feels like a prison due to all the iron bars around it. I recommend the food 100%.

I ordered the quesabirria tacos. The order comes with 3 tacos and a cup of soup base that you can either drink or dip your tacos. The services is good. The food is fresh. I definitely recommend this place compared to other places that sell birria. It’s good. Things I didn’t like was the hot sauce and the mole which is a sauce that you can add for more flavor. But other than that It’s good.

Would be nice to have chips and a salsa bar.
I got Tostada Mixta and a taco plate with Al Pastor, Asada and Pollo Asado.
Good prices. Really good food.
The green salsa was great.
I’m giving a rare five star.

Beef birria with delish consommé at super reasonable prices. Lengua, cabeza, and extra crispy tripa tacos were only $2 each. Perfect on a chilly Fall day.

This place has disappointed me tremendously. We were regulars for many years, we live in Elk grove and would take the drive to Stockton for birria. The owners are from our hometown La Piedad, Michoacán. Unfortunately this last weekend we went, huge price increase $30 per pound. When we got our order the birria DID NOT look nor taste like goat, looked more like beef. Not to mention the cashier was extremely rude. We could not find the mole in our bag to go and we went to ask for some and she rudely said it was in our bag, looked through it and pulled it out. We apologized for not seeing it in there but she was super rude. This place used to be super busy on the weekends, the line would go all the way out now it’s barely busy. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere!! Especially if you can’t eat beef and your going for goat, don’t trust them!!

The birria is their best dish, it’s flavorful and not dry. Tortillas are not that great they seriously don’t need to be so big they break easily like they need more maza added to them. Pricey yeah but everything else is as well but the food is great here.
