Excellent restaurant in downtown Port Townsend with great service. Visited on Friday at lunch, seated at a nice 2 top table with view of the water. Ordered the wings and the chicken stack. Both dishes were very tasty and perfectly prepared. The wings were tossed in the mango habanero sauce, delicious! Service was very professional and super nice. Bar has a fun Tiki look and feel. Definitely recommend.

The decor, need for a reservation despite it being the slow off-season, and food presentation made it feel on the fancier side of downtown choices. The service staff felt cold and unwelcoming throughout the experience, and the lack of a host meant that there was a long wait after entering before being noticed/acknowledged by anyone. The food tasted great.

Great atmosphere, great vibe and even better food! The owner takes real pride in his locally inspired menu, which is very apparent at first blush. Everything we tried was well above expectation in flavor, portion size and presentation. Beta is one of, if not the best in PT, definatly worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back.

The food is way overpriced. Period. Maybe based on views but you can get those views on the ferry. Burger was at the ‘Unhinge jaw’ level with 1cm of that being entirely avocado and 0.5-0.75cm of that being actually meat. Impossible to eat with my jaw, which maybe should have elicited a warning with my massive jaw/neck medical scare, but even for a regular person I imagine someone needing to smash the shlt out of it to eat it.
Fries were artisanal and crunchy but the ketchup was grocery.
Artichoke dip was mostly cream cheese. Very bland. Very meh.
The Townsend brewery has fantastic brews and the cocktails are.. interesting. Their version of a Manhattan, ‘seal dog days’, would go great with their Sunset Salman. It’s a cidery Manhattan that I think would go great with their description of their salman dish. If I make it back, that is what I’d pair.
