The chicken shawarma had good flavor, but it was a little dry for our liking. Still enjoyable, but it could have been more tender and juicy. The portions were satisfying, and the food felt comforting and authentic.
Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re craving Middle Eastern food, especially if you’re in the mood for grilled meats. I’d definitely return and try other items, and I’d recommend the mixed grill as a great choice.
My wife wasn’t used to chilled dolimades, grapeleaf wraps, chilled. The host went over the top and offered to heat them. He offered her a warm soup on the house as we were leaving. It was a extremely pleasant experience.
The store itself was impressively clean, with an inviting layout that made me feel right at home. I approached the counter, my mouth watering in anticipation, and decided on the kabob combo meal after perusing the enticing menu. When it arrived, I couldn’t help but admire the vibrant colors of the dish; it was a feast for the eyes as much as it was for the stomach.
The moment I took my first bite, I was hit with a burst of flavor that exceeded my expectations. The meats were not only tender and juicy, but they were marinated to perfection, each morsel bursting with spices that danced on my tongue. The portion sizes were generous, and I could hardly believe how much food I had for the price—it was incredibly fair. The fluffy rice served alongside was a perfect complement, soaking up the delicious juices from the kabobs.
The ambiance of the place added to the experience. There was plenty of natural light streaming in, combined with a refreshing breeze that made the patio seating an enticing option. I could easily imagine spending a leisurely afternoon there, enjoying my meal while soaking in the cheerful atmosphere.
To top it all off, the ample parking made visiting this gem of a spot so convenient. It’s clear that they prioritize the comfort and happiness of their guests. Overall, my experience was nothing short of fantastic, and I left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return for another delightful meal.
If I have more time in Scotdales or Tempe, I will keep coming to this restaurant. It became my favourite spot.
It’s totally recommended. This is not paid reviews.
It’s Halal as well.
I’m returning 4 months later (I live in Peoria) and once again the food exceeded all expectations. In fact it was better than the last time I was here so I would give more stars if I was able to. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the flavors blended perfectly. My daughter and I split the tabouli salad which was very large and had excellent flavor. I will definitely be eating here again.
