Recently had “family date” night here with my husband and two year old. mid-meal we were the only people in the restaurant! It was a wonderful experience. Our waitress was lovely. We were treated more like family than customers. Sure, it’s diner food. It’s decently priced, normal diner food with out of date decor. But we really enjoyed the comfort level. Feeling connected was the who point of our family-date and this place definitely got the job done. We WILL be back, simply for the wonderful service!

An extra plus for parents: Our daughters food was brought out at a child-appropriate and food-safe temperature while ours was still nice and hot from the fryer. This is AWESOME for a Momma tired of burning her fingers tearing up too-hot chicken strips.

We normally enjoy our meals here. Service is sketchy at times but tonight’s service was top-notch. Jessica took the time to listen to our request to have the flour tortilla bowl for a taco salad to not be overcooked. She sent back the one given to her and brought out a nicely cooked one. We appreciate that kind of service. Thank you Jessica!

great little greasy spoon in the best sense. Could use some attention to the decor but the cuisine is great. Most surprising it’s the commitment to vegan options including the astounding “impossible” burger, by far the best vegetarian alternative to cows.

I’ve been eating here ever since I was a small child. I can remember back when they offered a smoking section, which even as a child confused me, as it’s an open dining room so if someone lit up, everyone knew it. But I digress, the food here has gone up and down in quality but other than a bad patch around 10 years ago, the food has been mostly excellent. Breakfast here is my first choice, but I will come down for lunch and get a burger, french dip, burger dip, or the chicken strips. Which I have to say, the fresh hand breaded chicken strips they make here are a step above most places that use frozen chicken fingers, so I highly appreciate they he extra effort they put in.

Excellent, affordable diner food and good service hiding behind outdated finishings. This place serves the Impossible Burger now. Fries have some of the potato skin attached – just like I like ’em. Nice variety of milkshake and malt flavors. They regularly change up their specials and offer seasonal/holiday faves so make sure to check out their Facebook page.

Normally we have excellent service but today was horrible. The waitress gave us drinks but didn’t even give us menus until we asked for them (after 20 mins), then she served two other tables before us even though we came in before them. Then after waiting an additional 20 mins without service, we just paid for our drinks and left. I don’t know if she’s new to being a waitress but she needs to tighten up her service game. It wasn’t even that busy to have an excuse for the poor service. So we went to the FPH for breakfast.

A friendly little Homestyle operation. But biscuits and gravy is great. This is just a neat little restaurant.

I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times but the experience has been getting worse. Ordered a simple breakfast and it took a little over 30 mins to get to the table, even though it was not busy at all. Restaurant was pretty filthy to be honest, and there was no sense of urgency from the server or the cooks. Prices and food were good though.

I went here specifically because they have the Impossible Burger. They are one of only a couple of places where you can get it in the area. It didn’t disappoint! Wow. The people that work there were nice and everything was tasty.
I was so sorry to see the place got damaged by the recent surprise tornado. Hang in there, y’all…we’ll come back soon!

PLEASE SUPPORT THIS WONDERFUL LOCAL BUSINESS.

I walked in at 1230, place was empty. The bartender asked what I wanted, poured it, and walked away to read her newspaper. Not so much as a curt ‘thanks.’

Three people walked in behind me: she greeted them warmly, served them promptly with a pleasant air, smiling and laughing along with them as she delivered their drinks.

I’ve been here before and had a great time; this was the worst in over 15 years.
