This is a lovely restaurant with warm and welcoming service. The meals are vibrant and reasonably priced. I got a vegetarian sampler which included a variety of 8 for $18. I heard the Awaze Tibs was delicious too. Parking in the lot is easy and the bathrooms are also nicely decorated and clean. We were there when there was nice live music. There seemed to be an occasional wave of incense which at times was a little overpowering. Overall, we really enjoyed Beytane Ethiopian Restaurant and will happily return.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience genuinely deserves it. From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The space was beautiful – modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It felt welcoming but elevated, and it immediately set the tone for the night.
The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Nothing was undercooked or rushed, and the portions were generous without feeling overwhelming. You could tell that whoever’s in the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing – it was authentic, rich, and seriously satisfying.
What really stood out to me, though, was the environment. The music, the people, the energy – it all came together in a way that felt alive. Sitting there, enjoying the food and just observing everyone around me enjoying their own moments and conversations, it reminded me how powerful food and culture can be when shared like this. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience.
And the coffee? Honestly, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bold, smooth, and full of flavor. It wrapped the whole experience up perfectly.
The service was another highlight. The staff were so kind, attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure I had everything I needed. You could tell they actually cared – about the food, about the people, about the entire vibe they were creating.

Tucked into an unassuming strip mall on route one, Betaneya serves fantastic Ethiopian food. The portions are big, and the owners are incredibly friendly. My family’s go-to order is the vegetarian combo and the awaze tibbs – it’s fantastic cold weather comfort food that even my preschooler loves.

As vegetarians we love Ethiopian veggie combo plates. This place offers 2 options: 5-iten combo and 8-item combo. The 8-item combo came with 7 different items (one was served twice, I guess they ran out of other options?). The food was less salty than what we accustomed to but also felt a bit more authentic that way. Served injera was the whitest injera we have ever seen (Teff shortage?) but on the menu they did say they offer imported injera at extra charge. The service was good, and prices were reasonable.

Amazing everything , prices are so affordable, my boyfriend and I got the veggie and meat platter 2 , we got the chicken, beef , greens, beets, and lentils. Everything was cooked perfectly , seasoned super well. And the baklava dessert was to die for. So flakey, perfect level of sweetness. I can not wait to return!
