The Best Station Hotel was built in 1840 as a General Store, Wagon Repair shop and local post office, in the late 1800s early 1900s it became a train stop for local produce it also transported kids from Reading to Slatington for High School from 1919 to 1946, it was called the Berksy Over time the Best station Hotel had other names Like Flossie’s, Best Station Hotel, New Best Station Hotel and for a brief moment, it was called Legends Valley at the Best Station Hotel Until 2019 when it was changed back to The Best Station Hotel.

Best Station is hands down our favorite local dive bar/restaurant. We’re regulars and it truly feels like home. The food is always great, the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the owners are awesome — you can tell they really care about the place and the people who come in. One of our favorite things is the open mic every Saturday, run by our friend, which always brings such a fun vibe and great talent. Shoutout to Heather, our absolute favorite bartender — she’s the best — but honestly the whole staff is fantastic. If you’re looking for good food, good drinks, and even better people, this is the spot.

This place may be in the middle of nowhere but i had the opportunity to have a dinner here and its worth the trek out past the farms and cornfields and horses! Great selection of cheesesteaks and pub fare ofcourse…the pricing is fantastic for what you get. Now u get what you would expect from a restaurant that was built in 1840 decor wise but the veteran/ military service art on the walls will make you feel right at home especially if you are a registered gun owner
The parking is a large gravel space and can accommodate alot of vehicles. The owner and his daughter are extremely nice and the service is spot on. They host trivia and karaoke nights as well as outdoor seating.
The place is also a hotel of sorts but its not something i would count on if you had too much to drink as there are no rooms available as of this review.
All in all a great experience ans i recommend it for sure.

The cheese steaks were delicious. First visit, with large group. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. The owner came out to our table and introduced himself and gave us information about their events ( music trivia, karaoke, etc).

Dane & Best Station have been amazing supporters of our Youth Association and many other charities. They’ve donated to our Youth Association through both “family” and “adult” gatherings and we could not ask for a better partner! The food, the drinks, and the “aim to please” are all top-notch and the karaoke on Friday night is fantastically fun!

Heather is the best and makes great mixed drinks! She’s very attentive and fast and remembers what people drink.
The food could be better, and since they have provolone cheese on the menu they should actually have it.
