Came to place because I like the confidence.

It’s a a good noodle house, one of the better ones been too. Good combo of soup and noodles flavor was all on point.

The service was great, and for the price you get a good amount of food.

The noodle bowls were full of flavour and heat. Lots of spicy options, although I’m not sure you can trust the information on the menu if you’re looking for something non-spicy. I picked the noodles with the mixed pea sauce because it didn’t have a chilli pepper sign, but it wasn’t mild at all. Regardless, the food was pretty tasty. We also got some dumplings, which were very nice.

The ambience was less than ideal, however. While the place was a little hot and looked slightly rundown, what was truly off-putting was the man in the kitchen constantly clearing his throat and hocking loogies. He was really going for it, one after the other, trying to get rid of everything… He could’ve gone to the restroom to spare us.

What’s not to like about a hole in the wall place. It looks so authentic. it’s not that fancy shmancy

The food was VERY good. I recommend the chili wonton soup and also the intestine noodles

This place is an underrated gem. Great food and service, good value for the price, highly recommend for noodles. I always try to come here when I’m in LA. Their specialty is their Chongqing xiao mian, Szechuan style noodles in a spicy soup. My favorite dishes are the hand made noodles (it’s a specific dish) and the glass noodles. They also have yummy appetizers like pig ear, preserved duck egg with peppers, and salted duck. I hope they get more business since we were the only customers during the one hour we were there on a Monday night.

My favorite Chongqing noodle restaurant in LA. Flavorful noodle that can come with or without spice, great for family with kids. Consistent high quality, very friendly service, sweet price point, this is a fantastic restaurant to have a delightful dinner with family.

Years ago my mom randomly came to this store after a gig in the area, and she was shocked by how good it was.

We happened to be in the area again, and my mom INSISTED on coming here. We ordered number 1 and some cucumbers. Clean, rich flavors. We got mild, and while there’s a kick it isn’t overwhelming. Numbing spice though!

Cucumbers were fresh, salty and rich on the outside and crisp.

Unassuming interior, delicious meal.

This place is truly an overlooked gem in the SGV. I don’t even remember how we found it, and they’re not going to win any awards for decor or atmosphere, but the proprietor is very friendly and makes tremendous food that is served fast in generous quantities at a very good price.

The noodle dishes we’ve had here rival any we’ve had in southern california, including Mian at their best (like right after they opened, not in the past few years). Especially recommend the chungking noodle with red soup, dan dan noodle, and my favorite, the chungking homemade noodle, which is definitely worth the couple extra bucks for the better noodles than those that come with the regular chungking noodle. Happy to find that the prices haven’t increased recently, and would love to see more people eating here. It’s so good!

If you’re a fan of really sweet drinks, order the lemon tea.

Cash only. Easy parking.

I went to this noodle shop and the service was terrible. Several tables had finished eating and left, but no one came to clean up for a long time. People outside were waiting, and when we finally got a seat, it still took forever for the servers to take our order. Both waitresses looked so unhappy, like they didn’t even want to be there. Honestly, if the service is this bad, I can’t imagine the food being any better. Never going back again.

This place is just like its name. Bold and pure. It’s literally one of the best noodle places that I have been to. I really enjoyed Youpomian(Vegan Hot Oil Noodles) when my friend invited me here in November. So I decided that I have to come back soon. Today was not the best day for dinning because I had my dog with me and my car was away for maintenance. But after my pleading, the staff quickly agreed to set up a table outside the restaurant in the parking lot under the shades for me & my dog which is very heart warming and kind. I highly appreciate their hospitality and flexibility to serve their customer. They don’t have to do that. But they’re willing to work extra to make customers happy. It’s really rare to find a place with both tasty food and super nice service in the area. If you want authentic Chinese Szechuan noodles. This is the place.
