The building itself is very cool. There are floor to ceiling windows that allow you to watch the runways.
Our sever was very nice and cheerful.
The food was good flavorwise, but the menu was lacking variety. The burrito we got was extremely greasy and the hashbrowns were absolutely soaked in butter and they were difficult to eat due to the intensity of the butter.
The chicken and waffles were perfect.8
It would have been a 5 star if they were more dissaplined in the kitchen.
More fat does not make everything better.
All around we enjoyed it.

We are “newer” to Janesville and had never been to Bessie’s until today! Jan. 1 is my birthday and we have found it hard to find places that are open. We were thrilled to see that Bessie’s was open on New Years Day! The restaurant was booming, which is always great to see. Our server Susy V. was attentive, friendly, and she went the extra mile to make my birthday feel special. The manager even allowed me to add an item to my omlet that wasn’t even an option. Overall we were thrilled by the hospitality. The food was delicious, the Bloody Mary flight was fun, and we saw a total of 11 planes! 10/10 experience. We will be back!

Lots of room, seated very fast. Fast courier menu. Food was very good, most portions we saw looked more than fair but a few things. Had a breakfast burrito with chorizo and was really good but small for and very expensive for what it was and no sides of any kind, seemed as everything else did. I’ve many of these kind of burritos, by far the smallest and most expressive. Their breakfast plates though looked amazing and huge for the price. We will go again for looked like there double steak beef and cheese with egg and bacon and pile of fries on side looked amazing and HUGE, and cheaper than the burrito I would have left a little hungry still if not for eating half my wife’s fries lol

Really cute stop. Smells like pancakes throughout the parking lot, definitely draws you in. The kids loved seeing people pull in with their aircraft and coming in for breakfast. We even stopped to chat with a pilot! So fun! Definitely recommend.

Bessie’s Diner is a unique spot that offers a great experience in a small airport setting. The space is very clean and well-maintained, with bar seating and tables (no booths), creating a casual but comfortable atmosphere. The menu features some unique items, making it more than your average diner. Expect to spend around $12-$15 per person, which is reasonable for the quality of food offered.

Parking is easy and convenient, and the overall charm of the diner is hard to beat. However, it’s worth noting that Bessie’s is not particularly kid-friendly, so it’s better suited for adults looking for a nice place to enjoy a meal in a quiet and pleasant environment. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out!

Very cool place. Watch the planes land and take off. Quaint little place with seating at tables and nice counter. The food is very good. I especially like breakfast. Large portions. Spent about $70 for three people plus a $14 tip. This place is Busy!!!. Especially Saturday and Sundays. Breakfast all day and lunch starts at 11am. Closes at 2pm. The service is always very attentive. I highly recommend.

This is one of our favorite places to go for breakfast, my husband is an airplane freak . Love special events, Father’s Day is always great with pancake breakfast, airplanes, antique cars, face painting, and balloon animals. And I love going to see Santa, buffet breakfast is always full of delicious food. The kids today got to decorate Christmas cookies, how fun!

Please hire people with more experience on busy days/weekends. Upon arrival we were told a 20 minute wait for a table of 8. Repeated inquiries were always 5 minutes to get seating. Close to an hour we were not seated and the problem was that the tables were ‘permanent’ and couldn’t be moved to accommodate a large group. That’s ok, but the young/ inexperienced staff never gave us this information. It was always 5 more minutes…. Finally the group split up and took 4 seats at the lunch counter and the other 4 at a table. PLEASE hire experienced help that are aware of the customer needs.
