The food atleast the fish on Fridays is horrible anymore. They have downsized the fish portion so bad. The coleslaw is like it’s weeks old. The baked potatoes are OLD And BURNT. You cut them open ( thats if you can and they are beigh inside with a burnt taste. I returned it and got another one just like the first one. Didn’t even eat the one half. The Mac and cheese was one day like it was frozen and then just scooped up and nuked and it was all watery . There are nowhere the amount of customers there on Fridays like there used to be. It’s sad. It’s not even worth the time for a waitress to come to work. I can only speak about Fridays. I can see it’s going to be awhile before we go back again. We used to go there almost every Friday if we didn’t go to Harry ‘s place but they closed their doors. PLEASE someone if you know who is in charge of that place PLEASE talk to them. I would but I dont know who to go for.

We order our food at 6 and were told it would be 25 minutes so we decided to go downstairs to have a beer at the bar while we waited. The waitress was very friendly and after the 25 minutes found us and said it will be another 5-10 minutes so we headed back upstairs. Another half hour goes by and she tells us that we were next. Another 15 minutes go by and we finally got our food. It was a to-go order. We get home and one of our dinners was missing a side. The food was just okay and our rolls were stale. I want say the service was good because the waitress was so nice but we kept getting wrong answers and incorrect timelines, she made us wait so long. We found out they were seating people and putting those orders first instead of doing things in a first come first serve basis. We heard the waitress ask the kitchen staff, “do i need to call people back and tell them we are out of fish?” because they were not serving people in a first come first serve basis, they lost count of what they had and what needed to go out still. Unfortunately because the food was just ok at best and items were missing and we were given an incorrect wait time (multiple times), we won’t be back and I don’t recommend. I hate to write a review like this but they need to realize where their faults are and start accommodating to-go orders same as sit down orders if there is only one kitchen.They need to treat those eating in and those eating out with the same courtesy and let them both know of wait times and/or if they’re able to accommodate them. It’s not okay to make those with to-go orders wait over an hour for food that was supposed to be done in 25 minutes.

Love this place. I live in Bessemer so not only is it close to home but once you’ve got your membership it’s very inexpensive.
Staff is awesome, food is fairly price with large portions; served by awesome waitresses…most notably Sherri.
Also the one bartender, Maryann, will make specialties like rocket fuel and mainly in the summer frozen margaritas and daquaris. She’s also not afraid to try new recipes or whip up something that not on the “menu”.
