A nice place extremely too small not for group parties. The food was extremely too spicy. I could not enjoy it. If you cannot handle hot food don’t eat there.. A nice establishment tight fit could not enjoy the food. It was too spicy. Can you guys please make it average for everybody so we all can enjoy the food because I didn’t like the spiciness to every single dish we had.

The staff is very friendly, and attentive. We were greeted right away. The service was swift. The food came out very fast. Our appetizer was marinade (fried conch) & it was delicious. Came nice & hot. The water was good, too. Didn’t taste like it came out of a dirty soda machine or faucet. He had the fried Tassot Goat and I had the Tassot Turkey with sauce. He said it was decent, and he would go back. The turkey was a bit too salty but delicious. I only gave them 4 stars because they serve their food with plastic utensils & the “salad” that came with the food was just lettuce & a slice of tomato. I would definitely go back over all. The music was hitting.

I received my order. The Akra was not fully cooked. The wings had no flavor. The plantain was soft, no salt. The djon djon rice was not the best. Please do not rush making the orders. Food was over $40 on doordash.

I visited Berney’s Haitian Restaurant located in Broward County right off Sheridan Street for a birthday dinner and had such a great experience! I ordered the sautéed snapper with rice and beans, fried plantains, and salad. It was absolutely delicious!!! The snapper was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and everything on the plate complemented each other so well.

Be warned though… the sauce has a real kick to it, so if you’re not a fan of spicy food, you might want to ask for it on the side. But if you enjoy bold flavors, you’re in for a treat!

My friends tried the sautéed conch, griot, and snapper as well, and everyone was happy with their meals. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. I thought it was cool that they offered hookah as an option because it added a unique touch to the evening.

It’s definitely a great spot to check out if you’re in the area and craving authentic Haitian cuisine!

Came in for a to go order. It was awkward getting attention for my pick up order. The food tasted burnt & had burnt pieces in my spaghetti. Can definitely tell it was not fresh & VERY oily & wasnt tasty. This place is a hype. Thats it, Thats all.

This restaurant is more for the social media and superficial patrons. It seems to be ran by younger individuals so the sense of great customer service isn’t really there. The order was mixed up and not how it was ordered. The food was spicy and not of a good portion size. Had to ask several times for things, had salad on the plate had to ask for salad dressing, it was hot in there. Restaurant opens at 2pm and 4 pm some of the items weren’t ready! It was really frustrating trying to order Then it doesn’t say on the menu online that the red beans and rice are not available on Fridays and Sundays. The space is too small to have hookahs in there. Then the kicker was indicating on the check, about an additional tip. But the food tastes good.

I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time and was so excited when I finally had some free time, to my surprise I was disappointed.

Upon entering the restaurant there was no greeting, I had to walk up to bar area to ask if we can sit anywhere. Once seated, a waitress did bring my menu very quickly.
I wasn’t too hungry so I just ordered a hookah and a drink- I got the passion punch. The passion punch was not cold and tasted super thick. I also ordered a hookah as soon as I sat down, and it took 30 minutes to come and the restaurant was not busy.

My friend was meeting me and by the time she arrived the hookah was still not there. She asked for wine and it did not seem like the bartenders were knowledgeable, so she opted for sparkling water. The brand she requested and was told they had was not what they brought out – this could have just been a miscommunication.

As my experience was not so great, I opted out of ordering food so I cannot speak to that. My friend did order Griot Tostadas and she stated they were cold.

Overall, the customer service was a mix, the restaurant did feel clean, but I doubt I would return.

Berny’s Kitchen & Bar is definitely a 10/10; amazing food and drinks, and great vibes. When we entered, the decors is that of a tropical oasis with great music playing. Our waitress was nice and helpful, and gave great suggestions. We tried their plantain appetizer which was great, the shredded griot topped with the spicy sauce paired well together. Their lambi was so tender, felt like the conch was melting in my mouth. The classic griot was my favorite; it was fried perfectly where it was tender and moist. Nevertheless the rice and peas was top tier! I will definitely be coming back to Berny’s for more.
