We just arrived in town and glad we stopped here for lunch. There was only 1 other person already served and we were greeted and sat at our table quickly and with friendly service. Our sandwiches were really good, my chicken sandwich had a lot of cheese and the bacon was crispy. The Philly steak was good too, good serving of meat with veggie mix and cheese.
Maybe we’ll get another chance to stop in before we do, price was very reasonable for 2.

After a cold and windy Jay ski day, Bernie’s Prime Rib hit the spot! Come hungry on Saturday if you don’t want to take home leftovers.
The Maple Glazed Pork chop was full of flavor as well!

8-18-25. I drove by and saw vehicles in the parking lot, so I stopped in for lunch. I went with the Reuben and French fries. It was very good. Unfortunately the waitress was a little too busy closing for lunch to pay a lot of attention to the six of her customers. We could have ALL used refills on beverages etc.

Such a cute local gem! We were there for a fiesta night and ordered off the Mexican menu. The beans were flavorful and the chicken was cooked with onions and peppers- they are also generous with the accoutrements (sour cream and guac). It was a friendly local vibe. Hit the spot after a long drive!

Nice spot for breakfast. Came in around 9:30am, they had the backroom ready for a big group coming in for lunch. We (7 of us) offered to sit on the bar and they were fine with it. Felt a little rushed because they need to get us out before they came. Although we had plenty of time before lunch time. Anyways I ordered the breakfast burrito (came with homemade fries) with pineapple juice. The burrito was good but was hoping for a bigger serving. One of the guys ordered bloody mary but it was served frozen. He said it wasn’t that good. Hoping for some fresh drink he says. Probably one of those hit and miss place. Limited parking at the back.

We read the reviews and had to go while staying at the Black Lantern in Montgomery! Our server, Chelsea L, was the best! So friendly and accommodating. My husband had Mexican and I had the maple glazed salmon. All very good. We went back the next morning for breakfast due to FOMO! I did not believe that anyone could make a pancake anything special or worth mentioning. I rarely even order pancakes. Omg – the blueberry pancakes were absolutely out of this world. The blueberries were so juicy they splattered a foot when cut into. Delicious! What a local gem! We will be back!

This place has THE BEST Pancakes EVER! The specials are also very good. The menus is reasonably priced. Chelsea is such a great waitress and makes sure you are well accommodated. My friend asked for a generous amount of creamer and Chelsea brought out a beautiful pyramid of creamer for her coffee. I loved her sense of humor

This is a great little place right on the main road in Montgomery. First to know, it’s a very small establishment, and reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends or holidays. We were lucky enough to get a walk-in table for two, but saw many other groups turned away due to lack of available tables. Also, the menu varies on different days; we were there on Mexican night. The full dinner menu isn’t necessarily available on theme nights like Mexican night, but we really enjoyed our food. The guacamole was excellent and the salsa was delicious without being too hot or too mild. The house margaritas were excellent. I haven’t had their regular dinner menu, but would love to go back and try some more of their food.

Some of the best breakfasts and dinners I’ve ever had have been here. Latest trip’s highlights were the Thanksgiving special, fish tacos, the burrito could feed a family of 6, my kid loved the kid’s NY strip, lava cake, everything is good. Just go here.
