As long time customers of the Aldan location, my husband and I were thrilled that Bernie’s came back to that spot. We were not impressed with the Clifton Heights service or pretzel quality that we have come to love. Since the re-opening in Aldan, the pretzels do not taste AT ALL like what we have been used to. If you’re lucky, you can get them hot. I have been there 2 times recently, at 5:30 pm, and there is a box of pretzels under a heat lamp that look like they have been out for a while. Tonight I asked the young man how long ago they were made and he told me 10-15 minutes prior to my arrival. I asked if he could reheat them and he acted like I asked him to make a fresh batch(which may have been better than what we got.) When I got home, my husband immediately said, “these were out for hours, not minutes.” They were dense and doughy with partial burn marks. Every pretzel was a different size. We used to be able to wrap our pretzels and keep them for a day or 2. Now, if you can eat them, you should on the same day, because in a few more hours, they will be rock hard. The prices increased, and the quality decreased. They are not the same pretzels and it’s sad, because I used to look forward to grabbing hot pretzels on my way home from work. But, not so much any more. Missing the old Bernie’s Pretzels quite honestly.

Delicious pretzels! Warm, crunchy, salty, and light. The cinnamon sugar pretzel was unbelievable, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The building is beautiful and the staff is friendly! Cool shirts!

One of the main reasons I went was because I grew up with the bizarre of all nations and used to get these pretzels in the way back, so I wanted to taste them one last time. I don’t know if I’ll ever get back to the area just because it’s so deep in don’t go and I currently reside in Montgomery County, but the pretzels are much better than the pretzel factory. They should consider franchising if they haven’t already done so

I like the store and the employees although they don’t seem to be as professional as one would hope there is a pretzel store further up Baltimore Pike and they seem to always have pretzels available and they don’t seem to run short. I purchased chocolate sauce which they sell in little to larger cups for you to dip your pretzel, they also have spicy mustard. When I got home there was a chunk of pretzel already embedded under my chocolate sauce. I’d like to know how it got there. This happened twice. Angel is a little nauseating. Also sometimes the chocolate sauce must sit there for a day or two because along the top of the rim when you open it it can be a little bit gooey or a little bit hardened.
prices are good. But maybe they should hire somebody who has a little more experience handling food and or working in a pretzel store. Let’s face it ever since Americans have decided to sit 24 hours a day on social media it’s like they’ve all lost their minds they create fake realities that they live in even when they hang their phone up which is a rarity and people are not in their right minds anymore that’s how wokeism – spread to dangerous levels throughout the country. You can’t believe anything anyone says anymore because they all show signs of craziness and I’ve read some of the reviews below and believe me some of those people not all just don’t seem like they’re right in their heads. The store seems clean. The prices are good. We just want to make sure when somebody’s waiting on us that they actually wear gloves and or wash their hands. It’s hard to get employees that are professional. But I think they’re doing a pretty good job. It’s just sometimes the people in the store seem like somebody’s mom or somebody’s brother instead of somebody who’s hired to make sure that when they touch other people’s food they’re wearing plastic gloves that they change frequently because gloves can become infected with bacteria quite quickly, and that they show that they have a smile on their face cuz they like to be there and they like to serve people. But I think everything’s on the up-and-up here. Although I didn’t like finding a chunk of pretzel already inside my chocolate sauce.

I was excited when Bernies took over the former location of Pretzel Boy in Drexel Hill.
They are better tasting than Philly Pretzel Factory but not as consistent in how they are baked.
My only complaint is that the pretzels are over baked on occasion making them too well done.

I have six people in my house, only the 3 that ate here are sick with covid like symptoms. The 3 who never went to the store are completely fine. My best guess is the cleaning standards and customer safety is bottom tier. I wont go here ever again. I strongly recommend not touching ANYTHING if you go there.

Best pretzels ever.
I’ve been a fan of Bernie’s Pretzels since they were in the Bazaar! They’ve always been the best. I was worried with them having new owners that they wouldn’t taste the same but I’m very happy to report they are the same and sell the same delicious water ice!!!
I’ve moved to Chester County and only get to have Bernie’s every once in a while when I come visit family. I hope you guys expand to Chester County please.

I came here because Drexel Hill is terrible. This location is so much better. They will bake your large orders fresh. Its never a hassle. Food is amazing and service is excellent. Come to this location instead of Drexel hill.

Always out of stock! I’ve been there 3 times and there’s never been anything in the case. This morning I was told it would be 20 minutes for a single menu item. It’s faster to go to one of the other pretzel places nearby.

Pretzels are good, especially the Pretzel Hot Sausage, and the Pretzel Dog. I will say Bernie’s is as good as Philly Pretzel Factory, but not as good as the Amish Pretzel stores. Bernie’s is worth it, if you’re in the area, and you want a tasty pretzel.
