Had a great breakfast this morning at Bernie’s! It was my first visit and won’t be my last. I noticed they had chipped beef but they only serve it in season l, so once I try it, I will update for the SOS fans. Corned beef hash was yummy! Service was friendly and prompt and it is a family feeling joint. Food was reasonably priced and portions were solid without being overly large and wasteful, and I still took some leftovers home. It’s an unassuming diner so don’t come with luxury expectations, but the food is good and it was an overall nice experience.

Came in for lunch around 1pm they were almost totally full inside but didn’t feel crowded and had cleared out shortly after we arrived the place was really clean and seating was comfortable.. a southern girl I find it hard to get a good glass of sweet tea in this area..but I have found it here at Bernie’s City diner along with a really good meal.. started with a really good sized side salad with the best blue cheese dressing.. the turkey bacon wrap tasted good and was a healthy choice.. but I am so glad I got French fries with it..they were perfectly cooked..crispy and delicious.. we also had a salmon egg Benedict which came with hash brown potatoes.. the menu had a good variety of choices on it.. a great place to have a good meal…I definitely recommend checking them out.

Fantastic sausage links! I’m a big sausage lover, and these were absolutely delicious, along with my pancakes and scrambled eggs. My fiancé ordered the Irish benedict and he was well pleased, his side of potatoes were cooked to perfection. The only thing I would ask for next time is that my pancakes be a little less cooked since they were a bit too dark and dry for me. But overall, great service and delicious food!

Upon walking in We noticed the front doors were disgustingly dirty. That should have been our first sign. Ordered breakfast for three of us. Server was not very knowledgeable We asked if they made omelettes with pasteurized eggs or real eggs…. He said he was pretty sure they made him with real eggs but wouldn’t go ask the kitchen for us.
I ordered the Mexican burrito very unflavorful. We got an omelet literally only ate two bites, also lacking flavor. They tossed an old pineapple probably from the day before or older right on top of our home fries…. The bread that came with our meal was cold and then we asked for butter and he brings us cold butter to spread on our cold bread? The biscuits and gravy or mediocre. Too bad because they used to be amazing here.
We also got pancakes with chocolate chips when they showed up there were no chocolate chips to be found. So then we had to sit there and look at our mediocre food why they made the chocolate chip pancakes. Honestly the chocolate chip pancakes are the only item that got eaten maybe two or three bites out of the rest of the meals. He picked up our food and realized we didn’t eat anything but never asked us how anything was. Whatever we paid for it and got out of there and will never be back.
Too bad we used to like this place.
Server it was very unknowledgable didn’t bring us plates for our biscuits and gravy appetizer so we had to wait at least 5 minutes after it hit the table to begin eating it. He never bought us maple syrup for our pancakes. Isn’t that something that always comes with pancakes? We couldn’t get them back over after he delivered the pancakes the second time so we just ate it. Xhoi was our server maybe you guys should re-educate him.

This was our first visit to Bernie’s Diner and I have to say, we shall return. The staff was great right from the get go. Very friendly and fun to talk to, everyone made our experience great. The food was just as good as the service. I had the French toast with hash browns and a biscuit. My wife had the Mexican omelette and a side of hash. All was yummy. They also have lunch available but we decided to go with the breakfast. I think I heard them say that they were putting together a dinner menu so keep on the lookout for that. Like I said, we shall return.

As Canadians we travel quite often to Naples and this time we stopped at Bernie’s City Diner in order to try their delicious food based on a friend’s recomendation,all I can say is that this was one of the most amazing places we have ever explored, it is a family owned and operated restaurant, we had an amazing experience starting with being greated by the owner, amazing service and delicious food. we had the Chicken Cheese Steak and the Damshroeder ,yammmmm, definitely recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be visiting everytime we are back in Naples .
