We drove forty minutes to visit this little bakery shop, because we heard that they make the best European style bread. Expectation exceeded.

Great people working in there. Having a sandwich on a fresh baked bread is the best! I had my favorite weisswurst sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the various pastries and desserts. The workers are very friendly and talk to you about the food. Only complaint is that there’s no place to sit down and eat at all. I think they would get so much more business if they just put a few benches or small tables out. Otherwise great place to drop in on!

This place is amazing! Reminds me of the years I lived in Germany. The food is so fresh and non tainted by chemicals and additives. Highly recommend stopping by!

Everything is great! My husband is German and has found his heaven! We plan travel around stops to Bernhard’s! Worth it every time! Call ahead and it will help be sure the baked fresh items are still there when you get there! Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel and the butter cheese are my favorite, but my husband loves the frozen homemade meal packs.

A hidden gem! Such a great little place to get breads, pretzels, pastries, desserts, hot sandwiches, & German grocery items. There’s also a section for pre-made and packaged soups and meals. I’ve never gotten anything here that wasn’t delicious! I miss the little deli area to sit down and eat, but it gave them room to offer even more items for sale so that’s a good trade off!

It was my first visit to the store. I have visited their booth at the Marietta Square farmers market on Saturdays. I love the pretzel corners and pretzel hot dogs. At their bakery of course there is much more to pick from, including European-styled pastries. All good.

I got an email coupon for 50% off a sandwich at Bernhard’s. So, on the way to work, my dad stopped to get our lunch. I got a ham and cheese sandwich and he got the Philly Cheese. They were both superb! I will definitely go there for lunch again. I even got a German carbonated apple juice (which was just ok to me because I’m not a fan of carbonated drinks), restocked on my Knorr German soup mixes and German Ritter Sport chocolates. I highly recommend everyone to try them out! They have a variety of German dry goods, breads, baked goods, pastries, sandwiches, candies, coffee, teas, meats, vaccum sealed foods in a fridge and some drinks in their little fridge. Good luck getting out without spending $50.
