AWFUL greasy yucky pizza. AWFUL service too. Years ago this place had the best pizza in town and now it is so greasy and light on ingredients that it’s not worth the money. 3 greasy pepperoni per slice with very little mozzarella. We ordered extra cheese and there was still not enough cheese. The restaurant is consistently short staffed and you have to wait a long time for the (only one) waitress to take your order and then your pizza still takes forever. Going out for pizza should not take 2 hours. We won’t be back for overpriced greasy nasty bad service pizza. They need to clean this restaurant too. It looks so dirty and dusty. God only knows what it looks like when the lights are on. Gross.

The Berkshire Cafe is a great place to eat some of the most delicious food around. Everything was great. We ordered a large pizza and a salad. It was both awesome. The price was reasonable. They have ample parking. We recommend this restaurant.

Walking in i had a flashback to years past. Small and very busy long standing restaurant pub. The homemade chili was made with love, beef galore, menu said pork also, onions, sweet tomato chunks, light on the kidney beans and peppers, a masterpiece. Also had the Buffalo wings which were very good. We got a small pizza, 1/2 sausage, half meatball and onions. The pizza was a cross between the best Greek Pizza and Italian thin crust baked in a a light oil, the pizza was outstanding. The cheese on the pizza was unique and enough on it to more than satisfy. One waitress to 12 tables, she was a superstar. If you’re ever in the Harwinton side of Torrington, Go to the Berkshire Cafe, you will not be disappointed.

2.3.24 We just got pizza and drinks. Suace and toppings were great, crust was a little too think for me, but others liked it. Overall, cozy, casual atmosphere. A local favorite it seems. I’m out of town but would visit again.

First time at Berkshire. Stopped for a quick slice. Bar tender was awesome! Pizza was delicious. Crust a bit crunchier than I like but the sauce and sausage were perfect. Mushrooms were perfect. Atmosphere is down home old time restaurant perfect. If you like a great tasting pizza with a crunchy crust it’s the place to go! Not a fancy place, but I didn’t want fancy. Im sure wings and sandwiches are great. Ill try them next time.

this is our first time trying this place and it was good! we got a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza and 10 bbq wings and they could have served it with ranch dressing instead of blue cheese because i know some people would rather have ranch but it was still good. the place is kind of cramped because the left side is the bar and the right side is the dining room and walking in was confusing at first. they do cash only there which we didn’t know but they should tell you on the phone beforehand instead of telling you when you about to pay. but they do have an atm in the back of the place so i thought that was clever. the 2 older ladies that were working kind of just stood around walking and talking to each other before one of them noticed us and kind of had an attitude. the wings were kind of over cooked but still kind of good and the pizza was too, it didn’t have much pepperoni and the cheese was over cooked a little bit. i feel like it could be a hit or miss here.

The Berkshire Cafe is a staple in Torrington that everyone should try their tasty unique pizzas are delicious. Their salad and salad dressing are to die for cheap drinks beers and food and prompt service make this place one of our go-tos. I do believe it’s cash only so plan accordingly but we definitely enjoy the homemade sausage on their pizza , oven baked wings, and salad!

Honestly one the most underrated pizzas in Connecticut (in my opinion). The sauce and ingredients are always PACKED with flavor, and the crust is always crunchy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Their peperoni and sausage is a must try!
