Finding this cafe was like finding a tropical oasis in the desert. The day began at another airport with scant food offerings of low quality. This was remedied when I found the Berghoff Cafe during my layover. I would put the Cuban sandwich that I purchased here up against any Cuban sandwich anywhere. It was absolutely delicious. But one positive, sometimes when you get a Cuban sandwich it can get a little wet. It seems like they guard against this at the Berghoff with the understanding that many travelers are getting sandwiches to take on the airplane with them. They had a great selection of food and even a vegan option. The only complaint I had about the establishment is that it was crowded. I was hoping to sit down at the bar but that was not a possibility. Overall great service and very timely even though they were busy.

My mom and I stopped here for dinner on our layover to Louisiana. The pulled pork was AMAZING. My mom and I both loved it, and we wish we could’ve told them how good it was, but we had to board our flight. So… thank you Berghoff Cafe for a great dinner experience. 🙂

Great little spot. The food was really hot and delicious considering its airport food. Seating was very limited, I had to wait 10 minutes to get a seat to sit down. The joint is decorated very classically with lots of millwork and stone countertops.

Nice place! Clean, feels comfy. Friendly servers and bartenders. And probably the best Reuben Sandwich I’ve ever had. Thick cuts of fresh corned beef were perfectly satisfying.

Absolutely phenomenal. I asked what I should get, and Mr. Barnabe took care of me. “I’ve worked here for 35 years years, you have to try the reuben!” Try it I did. He sliced the meat up fresh in front of me and I watched him make my sandwich. It was fantastic! The meat was flavorful, the sauerkraut was fresh, tangy, and added a wonderful punch of flavor. The sauce made sure to compliment every bite… it was phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and eat here!!! Thanks again for an incredible experience!!

While traveling internationally, we stopped at this restaurant for a quick bite. The food is good compared to other airport food locations. The service is quick yet very rude. The gentleman on the cash register was upset or mad for some reason and kept asking me to move while I was trying to pick my drink and the only people behind me are part of my group. The atmosphere is good especially at the bar. People are talking and relaxing. Overall not the best but definitely not the worst by far.

For “fast casual” restaurant located in-terminal, they hit 5 star on my scale. Counter service feels like family owned. Meals are on display for visual ordering. Portion size was good for me. They have hot and cold options. There was plentiful seating and a bar opposite of the deli counter.

The Berghoff Cafe has good quick service food, considering this in an airport. I ate the turkey blt wrap, and it was very well prepared. There’s also a bar area and plenty of space to sit down and eat. If you’re at O’Hare and need a good bite to eat, this is the place to go.

The service here is great! The very polite and extremely efficient young woman taking orders does an amazing job. On a busy morning with a line way outside the restaurant, she kept things moving while making meals and was very friendly while doing everything else. The croissant was great and she got my vegetarian no eggs order down perfectly. Will switch terminals to come here next time I’m coming through Ohare
