Everything was extraordinary!!!! The people, the atmosphere, the food was EXCELLENT, especially for just recently opening up the kitchen. Got to speak with the owners and knowing Adam when we were younger, walked into a Wonderful suprise….. and his younger Bro has def got a ton of talent brewing. We will def be returning in the near future, hope to see you both again and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. The poutine fries were delicious along with the drinks. The whole chicken wings and empenadas were both PHENOMENAL as well!!!!

Nice atmosphere and tastefully redone. We had beer and wine but they also had liquor. Can’t wait for the food hall next door to open.

We were thrilled to see they had Bluecoat Gin on the menu, so I started with a crisp martini and followed it with a refreshing lime crush — also made with gin.

My partner went for the Spring Side Saison, which was smooth with a well-balanced flavor. His favorite of the night was the Peter Hoppin Pale — bold, very hoppy, and full-bodied. We also shared a Mauna Kea Tropical Sour, delightfully tart with bright pineapple and guava notes.

For appetizers, the strawberry watermelon gazpacho was a cool, refreshing summer twist on the classic. But the standout dish of the evening was the blackened tuna tataki — the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The coconut mango rice with its luscious spicy honey glaze stole the show and was easily the highlight of our dining experience.

My only 2 comments are that it is way too bright to be a bar, please turn down the lighting, it could add more character. Additionally the younger staff need a dress code. They were basically wearing only underwear and a hoodie. If I were the manager and the staff showed up like that, that would be their last time there. Have some class and make them wear pants. Other than that I still enjoyed my time and will go again.

Berg allowed us to reserve a few tables for a reunion of football officials for the night. Service was tremendous, beer was great, and the food was really good. Highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was from food trucks. The service was good. This place is so loud it is very hard to communicate with the servers, we can’t understand them and they can not understand what we want to order. Forget about relaxing and enjoying conversation around a table! It’s a shame because it is a cool building!

One of the BEST things to happen to Downtown Chambersburg…The Berg has really hit it out of the park for Total Experience. The Competition should take A LOT of notes!: 1st-Timers AND local/regular customers receive the EXACT high-level of attention & Genuinely Friendly service. The rotating menu offers exciting, locally sourced features. So far, the Quail Eggs & Tuna Tataki have been my favorite. A well-designed aesthetic greets & transports guests to a different world, the design elements, lighting and decor feel authentic and well purposed to truly influence customer perception & enhance the dining experience.
Every Adult-Age Group feels welcome, here – the Younger Crowd tends to go to the 2nd level, upstairs. Their version of the Lemon Drop Martini & Cosmo are excellent for those of us, who don’t drink Beer. So looking forward to returning, a 3rd time – introducing more Friends & Family to a true Gem. Maintain the Momentum: Berg Staff! We love what You’ve done, so far.

It’s a beautiful space, but they usually close half of it. Even on Saturday evenings. Whether it’s staffing, or whatever, we’ve walked out multiple times with nowhere to fit a group of 4, and a crowd that would easily fit upstairs if it was open. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, at least a portion of the short tap list will be out, and good luck with the service.

Berg Brewing is a nice addition to Main st. Food is good. Service is okay. Not a cozy place, but geared to the “in crowd ” if you come from the north side of town.
Table service is midline in typical modern bar style with booths. Open access to addition food Court next door.
Large hall means noisy echo sometimes irritating.
