We had the Reuben with rosemary parm fries, the liver dinner, and the potato dumpling soup — and every plate felt like it came straight out of someone’s grandma’s kitchen (in the best way).
Reuben… Perfectly grilled, generous corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melty Swiss. The rosemary parm fries were crispy, seasoned just right, and addictive.
Liver Dinner… Tender, flavorful, and cooked properly (which is rare). Classic comfort food done right.
Potato Dumpling Soup… Hearty, rich, and nostalgic. The dumplings were soft and satisfying — the kind of soup that makes you slow down and enjoy it.
Warm service, generous portions, and that old-school family restaurant feel you don’t find everywhere anymore.
5/5 — We’ll absolutely be back.
This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant with equally wonderful service & food. You can tell everything is made with love! And they genuinely care about their customers (even the ones just visiting). I will daydream about this place (we live in Dayton) & will absolutely visit the next time we come up for a trip to Cedar Point.
We cannot recommend this place enough! You absolutely will not be disappointed!
I have never tasted anything better than what we ordered there. I ordered a chicken. Ranch sandwich. Chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ranch on the side. It came with 1 side and I upgraded to fried fettuccine Alfredo. Oooooooo mmmyyyy goosshhhhhh the chicken sandwich reminded me of a fair sandwich that is tender, hand dipped deep fried, filled with yummy goodness. The Alfredo tasted homemade and the best I have ever had. I love me some Alfredo.
My daughter had Mac n cheese with a fruit cup. The Mac n cheese is NOT Mac n cheese. It was noodles with a 5 star gourmet cheese sauce with a splash of season for flavor. Her dad ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of upgraded French fries with rosemary and garlic parm. The brisket was tender and juicy. It fell apart perfectly as you bit into it with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. The fries were saturated spices, but not so much that you cant eat them. The robustness of all the foods leaves you wanting more.
We took a Bavarian creme puff home and split it. I should have gotten my own lol. All items tasted home made and Devine to the palate.
Nicki L. Topped everything off by being the best server ever. She had 7 active tables and still made sure everything was perfect.
We went there on a whim and I can’t wait to be back.
