Amazing experience overall. I’m a very picker eater when it comes to burgers and I’d say this is the BEST burger I’ve had. The buns are toasted and give a crispy crunchy texture. Meat is cooked perfectly at medium and the sauce pairs nicely with it. Fries are so fresh and you can tell it’s made in house. My friends ordered the tacos and they also look amazing. Such beautiful view by the lake side. You can see the boats and jet skis sitting outside. So pretty and very friendly service. Nice vibe. Nice restroom with good quality napkins. That’s how I tell a restaurant or hotel actually cares about the quality they deliver. 10/10!!

I haven’t been to this place in a few years. It was always beautiful and I honestly did t think it could get much better. I was wrong. This place got AMAZING!!! From the interior, to the food, to the service… everything was beyond expectation. I loved my burger and the drink I had was a perfect blend of flavors. I’m going to stop babbling and just tell you to check it out for yourself.

Absolutely amazing experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish — attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The food was incredible, full of flavor, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Every dish came out fresh and perfectly prepared.
The atmosphere was just right — perfect lighting, comfortable vibe, and a great setting whether you’re there for a date night or dinner with friends. You can tell they put thought into every detail.

We always enjoy our time at Bentwood! Our visit today was great. My husband had the burger and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. We loved the meal! I always enjoy a hot vanilla latte with oat milk from the living room. The best in town in my opinion. The service was great and the manager Ashley is so kind! The presentation of the food and the atmosphere is top notch. Always a great option for any occasion but today we celebrated Valentines Day!❤️

Everything about this restaurant is UPSCALE. The food was great, the atmosphere… charming, cozy, and romantic. The Service? FANTASTIC. Our server Chandler went above and beyond to make sure everything about our experience was perfect. The other servers were also very friendly and the overall morale in the restaurant between the staff was noticeably pleasant. We started with some drinks I had a delicious cocktail called the Hare’s Heart it was well balanced and unique. We had the deviled eggs and chicken thighs to start highly recommend them both. For dinner I had the Manistee River Rainbow Trout and my mom had the chicken pot pie. Both were delicious! For dessert we had a bread pudding which was incredible.

I originally stopped in because I saw grilled octopus mentioned in online reviews and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it’s no longer on the menu, and I was initially a little bummed. But my server, Ruby, completely turned that around. She was knowledgeable, polite, and patient and eagerly sharing her recommendations with thoughtful and mouthwatering descriptions.
I’m so happy I found this place and decided to stop. It’s definitely a go-to whenever I’m traveling from Chicago to visit my family nearby.

Everything from the food to the atmosphere was 100% breathtaking. Beautiful views on the outdoor patio and even in the main restaurant that looked like the beautiful lower deck of a ship. The food was amazing and so was the service. I would go here every weekend if I could.

This place is a hidden gem. Quaint outdoor patio on the marina, but inside was also very nice. Service was outstanding- our server Olivia was the best and made the experience even better with her recommendations. We ordered the wood-fired feta and olives as appetizers- absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the pork chop and my husband ordered the half chicken. The pork chop was phenomenal. We will be back next time we visit New Buffalo!

First walked in, and setting is amazing, love everthing about it. Very elegant and calming. Staff is very friendly and very informative about everthing you can think about asking. I expect more on menu but its an ok selection. For appetizer Wife ordered the basil soup which was just ok. I ordered mussels and only ate like 5 of them, because they just wasn’t that flavorful even with the sauce at the bottom of the bowl. For the entrée My Wife and I both ordered the Roasted chicken over mash, and son ordered the chicken tenders from kids menu. Son loved the tenders, he is 6 years old. Also had to order the bread and price wise, i believe shouldnt be that much and I would have assumed it came complementary, but bread was perfect. Soft on inside golden crust on outside. Although the Roasted chicken was very tender and juicy, like our waiter said, it too also had very little to no flavor. To me the meal also could have came out a little hotter due to our AMAZING WAITER PATRICK, had to put that in caps. Saying it does take longer for that dish because of how its prepared. If I was grading this place on food alone, would have been zero starts, but setting, mood, atmosphere and staff is top tier. Just do better on food flavor, menu options and we will be back.
