Such a cute little find when visiting a nearby area. The food was fantastic and we were sat quickly. Maple syrup was so good and warm and brought out with our food. Service was…weird. Very cold, unfriendly, and she seemed almost slightly annoyed when we initially got seated but there were spurts of super friendly conversation.

While vacationing in the area, the night before a nice couple recommended this spot to our family and very glad they did. You may have a slight wait to be seated, but it’s worth it. Hands down best breakfast outing we have been on and the food was phenomenal. Even the leftovers were good. Pricing is reasonable and the shop inside is a nice way to pass time while waiting to be seated. Staff were also friendly and attentive.

Don’t let the plastic wear and paper plates throw you off. The food is fantastic.

Best poached eggs I’ve had in a long time they were perfectly poached and not sitting in a bowl of water.

Best ham steak, hands-down, that I’ve ever had.

Great potatoes and onions

And the Pièce de résistance were the pancakes and they were extraordinarily good.

All in with tip, we were right at $40

Benton’s is a cute spot! The wait was short, and their selection of local products and merch made the time fly by, I couldn’t resist picking up a few things! The atmosphere was cozy, decorated with a rustic vibe. Family friendly and speedy service. Our server was sweet and attentive. I didn’t love that everything was disposable, paper cups, paper plates, plastic silverware, felt cheap and wasteful. Pancakes were good, not great. Home fries were not crispy.

We went here for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend on the way to a hike. We arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday morning and only had to wait about 5 min. There is a bench inside the door in small gift shop area. Imagine our surprise when we left about an hour later and there were dozens of people waiting outside! There are multiple parking lots available.

What a spread for breakfast. I got the Shack Stack and my husband had the Sugar Maker. We both got berries in our pancake, so good. Hash browns come with or without onions (which were delicious!) The portions were enormous and amazing! I made a valiant attempt but could not finish it all. I took some French toast and ham to go and ate as a snack while hiking. (I usually get wheat toast but in hindsight might have enjoyed white better for French toast.) The salt and “peppa” shakers were adorable mini maple syrup bottles.

I was surprised that everything was disposable (cups, plates, silverware). I understand this makes for easy cleanup but was a little disappointed in the environmental aspect.

Otherwise, everything else was great – service was fast and friendly. You can get some syrup or jam from the gift shop to bring a taste home with you. Just make sure to get there early. 🙂

This mountain gem is worth the drive! The food was superb and the atmosphere was wonderful. Their syrup was to die for. While we looked at our menu we were given a fresh warm Homemade Maple Cinnamon Bun. It was a special that day for $5. Definitely worth it. It just melts in your mouth.
The staff were so cheerful and attentive.
They have limited hours so you may have a little wait if you go at a busy time. But it’s worth it!
I will definitely be going back next time in visit NH.

Did i think that a small breakfast spot in the mountains of New Hampshire would provide the BEST baked beans I have ever eaten in my life? No! But then I came here and I was proven wrong! Their kielbasa is so good too! All parts of the breakfast were outstanding!
The service was incredible, too! The maple syrup is iconic!
There is a small shop in the entrance with pickled veggies, maple syrup, clothing, etc.
I can’t wait to return!!

Great food and service at very reasonable prices. The pancakes , biscuits and gravy, and home fries were all excellent ans food portions. The coffee is the only thing that wasn’t so great as it waswatery and didn’t taste like anything. Everything else was great and I would go back.

Must have been a “miss” day.
Eggs were cooked nice, ham & bacon were good too. Pancakes over cooked, French toast very dry and the beans needed more salt and @hour more cooking. Cute place, staff way too busy didn’t even ask if we wanted more coffee.
And paper plates, cups and plastic utensils!! Big turn off.
