I went in to Benton Street tap to enjoy an evening and after spending about $60 at both locations affiliated with Benton Street tap, I was asked to leave because I was dancing with too much joy. Please explain to me how this is possible. I am a disabled veteran who was looking to enjoy a nice evening by himself and was asked to leave because I was having to much of a good time. How dare you treat veterans this way. This is disgusting. I hope you get shut down.

The bartenders are knowledgeable and will get you exactly what you want as you want it and you won’t be waiting half an hour for it because they’re so good they keep up with the crowd and make it look easy! Went to stop in for a drink this past Saturday around 5 and first time there. The bartender was not friendly and didn’t even say hi when we walked in. I had to stand at the bar and look at her in order for her to acknowledge us. I got a draft of Laguanitas IPA and then took a drink out of it and the beer did not taste good. The beer was watered down and darkish looking. I gave the bartender the beer back and told her the issues. She didn’t even bother to give me another drink or offer something else in return. Her response was just “sorry” and she turned away. So terrible drink for me and bad customer service.

As a fellow bartender, my experience was disappointing. I have understanding of service industry workers and all they go through, however the actions of this bartender was unacceptable.
Fellow patrons had a fight and this bartender decided to take it out on every other customer. This bartender called last call and we ordered our drinks. Within 5 minutes of receiving (not just ordering, but physically getting them) she decides to rudely tell us leave. Not even a polite request to leave, but a rude scream on the top of her lungs. As a fellow bartender, you cannot call last call, pour drinks and rudely ask us to leave. I understand everyone has a bad day, however the actions of this bartender were unlike any actions I have ever seen. Their is zero reason a bartender who over served someone to take their mistakes out on other customers. My biggest regret is tipping on my last round that I was never allowed 5 minutes to finish since this bartender has no emotional intelligence to finish out a shift.

After fighting the town to get the tables put out front they still don’t serve food beyond small pizzas. There’s not even enough room in the back for a kitchen. I don’t get what the owner is going for.

I recall the early openers they opened at 5 am. If you were at a party and ran out of beer you would get in a cab and say take me to an early opener. Then they would take you straight down to the docks. It was really great sitting there. You would see the fellows in there dungarees having a couple quick ones before starting work then someone would walk in wearing a ball gown or a tuxedo. It was a delight. The fellows starting a hard day’s work and the leftovers from the parties.

What I love about this place is their hours. For those who work overnight shifts, and want a place to relax and wind down this is the place to be. For those of you who are day drinkers you too will enjoy this place. Danielle and Woody are great bartenders as well as

If I could give a zero stars I would, the bouncers think they are god, and above the police, we were all paying our tab and they were screaming in our ears LETS GOOOOO!!! over and over, screaming at us as we we’re literally paying our bar tender, such a hostile environment the security creates makes you feel like they are about to hurt you, or your friends. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here, unless you want to feel bullied or as if you’re going to be violated against.
