It’s not a fancy place, but it was clean and well-maintained. More importantly the food and the service was TOP NOTCH. Michelle was the only one working, but she did a great job answering lots of questions related to food allergies and getting food to our table quickly. One of the better strombolis I’ve eaten — sauce was a good balance of sweet and savory, fillings were generous, and the homemade crust was really just perfect. The homemade garlic knots didn’t have as much flavor as expected, but a side of garlic butter resolved that. The knots themselves were perfect and the portion was surprisingly generous. Another shout-out to Michelle who graciously accommodated good allergies in our group. Highly recommend!

This place used to be great 10 years ago, but unfortunately, the price point no longer matches the quality of the food or service here. Over $50 for a large pizza, breadsticks, and a gyro is fine, but only if the food is great. This time, it was so disappointing. The gyro had about 3 very thin, obviously prepackaged gyro meat slices on it. I never received the chips that were supposed to come with it, and I didn’t realize until I made it 15 minutes back home. VERY minimal toppings and so little alfredo sauce and cheese on my white pizza that all I could taste was the spinach and bread. Sorry to say I won’t be coming back here unless I hear they’re making pizzas like they used to again.

While spending an afternoon perusing the shops of downtown Waynesville, we remembered our friends telling us about this great pizza place that we should try—Bentino’s!
And we are so glad we stopped in!!
We tried and Gyro and added Feta — Delicious!
We also tried a pep, sausage, and onion Calzone — Excellent!
We ordered a small Veggie Pizza, add green olives and spinach — Fantastic! Great crust!!
And we ordered a Steak sub with cheese, onions, banana peppers, mushroom gravy, and pizza sauce — also Delicious!
Great customer service, very friendly! Restaurant was very clean!
Highly recommended!!
