Got the Cassoulet for the main and it was just as good as the starter. Loved the flavours of the sauce complementing a variety of different meats harmoniously. An extremely satisfying main course. The dessert, however, fell flat. Based on the one most popularly ordered, they recommended the Armagnac Savarin. I was expecting the cake to be moist and flaky to the knife but it was anything but. The texture was coarse and the brandy poured on top of it kind of ruined the taste for me since I’m certainly not an alcohol lover. It was hard to finish as the bitter alcoholic flavours dominated the total experience.
Now for the service, overall it wasn’t bad, but I just felt there was too much unnecessary jesting. Maybe because they are trying to break the ‘french rudeness’ stereotype, not sure lol!
So, if someone asked if I would return I’d say probably not. Ok for a one time experience.
we ordered the salmon heart, beef with mashed potatoes (which were crazy smooth and tasty), cod with squash, and for dessert we had the profiteroles.
service was immaculate, mentioned it was my birthday and we got a complimentary ice cream with a little candle
really recommend if you’re looking for a fancy fine dining experience
Benoit Paris is a must-visit for its authentic 1918 ambiance—it’s classic Paris at its best. The food is unpretentious yet refined, staying true to traditional French roots.
I had the Christmas menu, and the Pigeon Wellington was absolutely amazing. The Lobster Bisque was delicious (though I would have preferred it a bit hotter), and the other courses and wine pairings were excellent.
A huge thank you to Manouk for the exceptional service. He was incredibly professional and friendly without being overbearing. An overall excellent experience!
The staff were so lovely and very attentive. They even gave me an espresso with a madeleine after my meal, which was the perfect end to the night.
We walked in, and it is a beautiful bistro style restaurant with a French European feel to it. I loved the architecture and style. The plates and ornaments were beautiful and the staff were welcoming and friendly. However the food was average and I’ve got no idea why we were sat upstairs when there was free space on the ground floor.
We ordered the-
Duck fooe grass
Gourmet veal casserole with sweet breads
Seared beef tenderloin
Dessert- French cheese.
We liked the food, it was simple but authentic French and that was what we came and paid for. The cheese dessert however was too simple and personally a waste of money. Just a bunch of small cuts of cheese simply put on a plate. We didn’t finish the cheese, sadly was wasted. The other food was delicious and I highly recommend the veal sweet bread casserole.
We probably wouldn’t visit again, but it is a nice place to get an authentic French bistro feel.
I went for the set lunch menu (please take note that set menu may be changed from time to time), it was beautifully prepared, simple yet traditional French dishes done right. The flavors were rich but balanced, and the portions were just right, not too heavy.
The service was amazing, very attentive without being overbearing. I was looked after by a friendly lady who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. She explained the menu really well and checked in just the right amount. It’s those little touches that make a meal feel just nice.
At the end of the meal, they brought out some chocolate from their own factory, which was such a nice surprise. Rich, smooth, and just the perfect finish to a really satisfying lunch.
If you’re in Paris and want a relaxed but good French dining experience without the tourist-trap vibe, Benoit is a solid choice. It feels like stepping into a piece of history, but with warm service and food that totally holds up today.
Recommend for lunch, definitely worth a visit.
