The service and food are excellent!
We’ve tried anything from burgers, wings and chicken fingers to pizza. Onion rings and garlic knots are the best!
Dine in or order to go.
Only downside is the parking. The lot is small and serves a few businesses. But it’s worth the visit.
I have given this Clarks Summit location four separate tries, with significant time in-between. Each time, they have dropped the ball in one way or another: taking twice as long as promised to complete an order, giving cold food and in poor presentation, forgetting several items of the order, and once even giving me someone else’s completely different order because they weren’t paying any attention whatsoever (I luckily caught this error in the parking lot just before leaving).
Also, we’ve never bothered dining-in at this location. The other locations actually feel like a fun, energetic sports bar location. This one is a strip-mall-style storefront with cold fluorescent lighting, drippy ceilings and wall-mounted TVs that have the “Are you still watching?” buttons permanently on-screen because none of the employees care.
In general, I love Benny’s. But after trying forgiveness three times, I will never go to this one again. PLEASE skip this one and make the trip out to Peckville or Greenridge. This location isn’t it.
Problem number 2 (not such a bad one but still annoying) was that they told me they did not have the plain pizza I ordered, but they waited until I got there to pick it up to tell me. So I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for them to heat up a slice of pepperoni, when I originally ordered plain online.
So I call and explain that my wing bites are incorrect. The girl on the phone says “you have to place and order and pay for the new ones.” I reply, “It was your mistake so no we won’t be paying for the correct ones that we originally ordered. Then she puts a guy one the phone. The guy reiterates the same thing. Says I must pay for the wrong order, and also for a new order if I chose to get one.
After a little back and forth, he tells me I must take it up with DOOR DASH because somehow the online PICKUP order went through Door Dash?? Door Dash was somehow responsible for Benny’s messing up my order? Huh. At this point, I ask for someone in charge, because this is ridiculous and all I want is my correct order. He tells me there is no one there with the power to do this. So I ask him to have someone call me the next day. He says ok, and takes my name and number.
Well here we are, no call back, no follow up, nothing! I wasn’t expecting it, but I was holding onto the slim hope that there are still small business owners out there who care about customer satisfaction. Guess I proved myself right! Oh and no we won’t be back.
