How massive? The photo says it all: my 6’3”, 240-pound friend looks like a kid struggling with a toy box when he holds one of their pies. A single slice could be lunch; a whole pie is practically a group event.
On my visit, Ben (not related to the Benny) was running the show—friendly, helpful, and quick to make sure we got a taste of the month’s garlic mushroom special. He even hooked us up with a mango habanero chicken pizza that hit the sweet-heat balance just right.
This is the kind of place that doesn’t need to pretend to be anything it’s not. Great pizza, great people, unbeatable value. If you’re in Virginia and hungry, don’t overthink it: Benny’s. Five stars.
Highly recommend as a fellow New Yorker!
The pizza has always been consistently GIANT and delicious! Love the monthly rotating toppings as well as the garlic mushroom (with hot honey).
Definitely give this spot a try if you want an Instagram worthy slice!
Had a really good experience and I highly recommend.
At the restaurant they have a challenge, of if you can finish a whole 28 inch cheese pizza in 28 minutes you get $280 dollars. Highly recommend
This place is absolutely fantastic. I got a slice of cheese pizza, and when I tell you that this thing was massive, you can take that to the bank. Their slices are the size of two paper plates, and while you might think that it’s a gimmick, possibly to make up for an OK pizza, you’d be dead wrong. The pizza itself is amazing. The crust is foldable, it has a bit of crunch to it, but is also soft, and has a great texture. Taste wise, it’s also very solid, and doesn’t take away from the sauce or cheese, while also being a prominent flavor. For the sauce, it’s a pretty mild sauce, not super sweet or acidic, or too tomato-ey. As for the cheese, it melted great, tastes good, and was really solid. Very filling, and for only six bucks, you just can’t beat it. Now, as far as the atmosphere of the restaurant, it has an amazing vibe to it, and the staff running the place are awesome. I had a great conversation with the guy who made my pizza, And the decor of the restaurant as well as everything else just flowed right together. Nothing Felt out of place, or had any inclination of making me feel unwelcome. It feels like a place you can just walk in, and feel like you’ve been friends with everybody for years. This will definitely be one of my go to spots for lunch, And 100% my go to pizza spot When I’m near the area. Definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a bite, you won’t be disappointed.
