I found this place while looking for a spot that serves pizza by the slice. I’m glad that I found it! Immediately when I walked in I was greeted by the nicest young man that was behind the counter. Unfortunately I forgot to get his name. But he was very sweet! I love pizza and I really love those big & sort of thin slices of pizza lol. So this was the perfect place right here! The price is very reasonable and when he bought the pizza out I was so amazed at how big the slices were! I couldn’t tell you how excited I was to eat this pizza! So I ordered two big slices of the cheese pizza with the garlic sauce. I would highly recommend getting the garlic sauce with it because it’s just amazing! Overall, I would highly recommend this place and I plan on returning to try other slices!

I was born and raised in a big city and I love good pizza and in Virginia Beach it is something that I have trouble finding. I was walking down the street and saw this place so I had to go in and give it a try. I did not know what to expect but the slices and the pies are absolutely huge I’m glad I only ordered one. Trust me one slice is enough and the pizza was delicious. I absolutely loved it and I will return for sure. The outside and inside are very clean and beautiful and the 2 staff that we’re here the day that I came were absolutely great people. I have nothing bad to say and all I can tell you is you should definitely go here and try this pizza you will not regret it.

First, and foremost this 5 star review is for Matt. Matt took our order, and even made suggestions. He was so very pleasant, with the most wonderful personality, and a nice smile while taking mine, and my husband’s order. I witnessed him cleaning, and checking on drinks in the fridge to re-stock the fridge. There was another employee there who came out later but Matt was the one we saw working very hard the entire time while smiling. There were about 14 patrons in the pizza joint counting us. What great work ethic this man has, and I just hope he is always appreciated. If he worked for me, he would be commended for his enthusiasm, and work ethic, and a raise if he hasn’t received one recently.
The pizza I had was one of their current specials, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. We will be back for sure. We visited on 3/12/2023 This is one of many Benny pizza joints we’ve visited in VA.

I love these giant slices!!! My 1st time having Benny’s was in Norfolk. This location has much more seating and 2 bathrooms. Their pizza is consistently good. This time I added some seasonings and parm. I ate there and enjoyed hearing some Dead and Bob.

Benny’s is the type of place we’re the PRODUCT is good: SIMPLE DELICIOUS PIZZA – 5 STARS But what detracts from businesses like this can be: staff attitude, establishment cleanliness, and/or preparedness! In my case, it was the latter! At 11pm in a per slice pizza JOINT with only 2 other customers, we didn’t expect to require a wait of 30 minutes for one SLICE of pepperoni pizza. While the guys were nice and I had no idea what may have caused this GAP in preparedness, I waited patiently because I was in no rush & like I said, the product is good.

Hubby and me were originally looking for Italian food but the place we had in mind ended up only doing cash sales. So hungry and on the way home we decided just to pick up some pizza.
Benny’s was a pleasant surprise. The slices were huge! Thin delicious, cheesy, greasy pizza. It was a perfect slice! I got two slices of pepperoni and hubby got one sausage and one mushroom slice.
They have a slice of a month as an option but their menu is very simple. Many drink options aviable including lots of canned local beers. There’s a large freezer with ice cream options from a local company. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside.
Also for those competitive challenge eaters, there’s a challenge listed on the wall for those who have an iron gut with a cash prize. (I can only handle one slice, I can’t imagine a whole massive pizza).
I’d like to see a few more options for pizza flavors but what they have is working for them and it’s delicious. We will definitely be back.

I used to really enjoy coming in here back in the day the staff used to be really cool and fast. I watched with my own eyes as the girl that has been here for a while will sit in the lobby on a computer ,drinking alcohol and going back in forth to the bathroom while sniffling extremely loud, all the while her coworker is struggling and between it all when she returns to the kitchen she won’t wash her hands. As someone who lives just upstairs I come in quite regularly for a slice and this has been a issue multiple times but this is not even close to as bad as the couple that have their baby In the back I have come in countless amount of times and seen the newborn baby by the oven or in the far back and that it’s actually disgusting to me to risk the safety of a newborn in a restaurant like I have seen other bad reviews about them having this baby back there dating back over a month ago I’ve walked past the store and seen days they have had that poor baby in there from open all the way to close as much as I love the pizza I hope this place gets shut down for child endangerment and neglect because this clearly is a issue the managers and owner are aware of.
