Toasty warm. Food was good. Burger was medium well to welldo e but ordered med rare. The burger was the black and blue and tasted good. The specialty drinks were fun and tasty. Big and tasty salad, soup was hot and steak was done corectly. Stuffed cod was a little dry. Service was fast and good.

We had a nice intimate gathering of eight family members and had their outer room almost to ourselves. The service was excellent. The food was very good too.

We loved this place for the awesome Christmas decorations outside, but when we walked in, it was not as festive. It was a bit of a let down with hardly any decorations and no music at all. The cocktails were outstanding, but the food was mediocre. My husband had the prime rib which was not served with horseradish sauce even though he asked for it and the meat was dry and chewy. I got the brushetta chicken which was also dry. Thankfully I had some ranch dressing from my salad to dip it in. The waitress was not attentive at all. We specifically asked for horseradish sauces with the prime rib and ranch with the cheessticks and did not receive either. Plus, we had to wait for at least 10 minutes before we saw her again to ask for something. Please consider playing Christmas music for the customers or any music for that matter. If you go here, we recommend getting the cocktails for sure.

A very large eatery at the end of the entertainment strip in Franklin. A smallish indoor seating area, a large covered patio and a huge outdoor area. We were immediately seated. When the server took our orders, she told us one selection was not available because the kitchen ran out of a key ingredient. That seemed odd for 30 min into the dinner service. We made our selections the dipped our drinks and talked while we waited, and waited, and waited. When the meals came, they were piping hot. That told me our server was on the ball and the delay was a slow kitchen. The same kitchen that ran out of a key ingredient. Not a good sign. My partner really loved her steak salad. My chili was good but my crab cak sandwich…not so much. I didn’t even finish it.
Benjamin’s seems like a busy place and it offers live entertainment and a kid’s menu. Parking was hard because a massive piece of digging gear was parked right in front. Noise level wasnt bad. 60-70 Db. But a large group came in next to use and the level jumped to 100-110Db. We left.
I might go back but then again, I might not.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Franklin, this restaurant is a hidden gem that perfectly complements the charm of fall. The setting, with its beautifully vintage decor, transports you to another era, making it an ideal spot to savor the season’s beauty. We arrived on our motorcycle, eager to explore the vibrant colors of fall, and were welcomed warmly by the manager, who personally came to our table to greet us—such a nice touch!

The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was incredibly fresh, showcasing the chef’s dedication to quality. Every dish was a delight, reflecting the care and attention to detail that makes this restaurant so memorable. Whether you’re passing through or looking for a new favorite spot, this is a place to visit in the fall for an unforgettable experience.
thanks Ashley.

Met friends for dinner at Franklin on Ice. First time dining here. Promptly seated. Server took drink orders right away but took a long time for those who ordered cocktails to receive them. We received water quickly. Food was so so. Hubby ordered french onion soup and salt and vinegar potato chips that were so salty he was unable to eat them. They were replaced with an order of plain potato chips that were burnt and came just as we finished eating. Soup did not taste freshly made. I ordered a regular hamburger with sweet potato fries. My hamburger was good as were the fries but the dipping sauce was simply caramel sauce used for an ice cream topping. It wasn’t until we arrived home and my husband handed me the receipt that I realized that I was charged for the wrong, more expensive hamburger. Too many mistakes… Not a great experience…

We had a great dinner here. The food was good and the service was good too. We ate in the garage door area which offered the best of inside and outside dining. My husband had ribs, I had beef and noodle stir fry. The stir fry was tasty but I could tell they used frozen vegetables not fresh. After dinner we walked to a local ice cream shop for dessert.

I randomly found this gem on a way to my son’s “away” football game. My husband (who is extremely picky) said “this might be the best steak I’ve ever had”! My daughter’s tortellini was the best we had ever had and my jam packed salad was incredible! Service was great, the restaurant is adorable, clean, accessible, and has a beautiful patio! The bartender put a delicious caramel and spice drip on my PumpKing draft beer! We will be taking an hour and a half trip back there just to have dinner! Worth the trip! A+

Very clean and pleasant service. Not a long wait.
We started with their appetizer platter and Maryland crabcakes.
The fried pickles were yummy and the fried mushrooms were a nice treat.
I got the salmon and broccoli
The stuffed cod looked yummy. They had sweet potato fries .
Nice treat.

This was my first time to the Franklin Roadhouse. I stopped here because it was on my home from backpacking a portion of the North Country Trail in the Allegheny National Forest. I was looking for a nice restaurant where I could get a steak dinner and relaxing atmosphere. This place did not disappoint.

I started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. I then had the Sirlion Steak with mashed poratoes and gravy. It came with a side salad, but I had them leave off the croutons. Everything was delicious… very good.

The service was great. The food was very good. The atmosphere was perfect. The facility was clean. I couldn’t have been more happy with this stop.

As a side note, it was too early in the season, so the patio/yard seating was not open. I have to imagine that the outside seating makes this already great place even better.

I live in the Youngstown/Warren area of Ohio, so it’s about an hour away for me. I will definitely be back.

Note to management: The one thing I would have ordered had it been on the menu is a skewer of grilled shrimp to compliment the steak.
