This place I highly recommend you swing by or even make the drive across town if you’re a traveling on the interstate highway close by it’s worthwhile pit stop and they also have semi tractor-trailer parking for you long haulers. The food is fantastic the head chef and owner is constantly attempting to improve the food quality and taste. Green beans are some of the best I’ve ever had rib tips and their brisket as well as their turkey. If you like collard greens they have some really good collard greens and homemade peach cobbler I recommend you stop by on a Friday or Saturday when they have the buffet it is one hell of a deal and you definitely will not go home hungry.

Amazing! This authentic BBQ place has quickly become my new favorite.
All of the sides are incredible but I’m a huge fan of the corn and collard greens. I always get the ribs but plan to try a pulled chicken sandwich soon! Great service. Highly recommend

5 out of 5 will eat again!
Brisket is fatty in the perfect way. Pulled pork was juicy and the meat slides off the bones with the ribs. The corn bread is sweet and moist. The collard greens and green beans are the best sides I tried but the tomato cucumber salad was a cool tangy break from the rest of the meal. The fried cabbage is good but could be spicy for some. Do get the banana pudding! Sadly the chocolate cake is a little dry.

1st time here and we will definitely go back. Everything we are was delicious, but I loved the brisket. We shared 3 sides potato salad, bake beans & Mac & cheese ( all 3 were really good. Can’t wait to go back for brisket sandwich & try a few more sides.

Best pulled pork I’ve probably ever had! So tender and juicy. Good assortment of delicious sides! Save room for the banana pudding. Good portions for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

I wanted to like this so bad but the rib tips were horrible the pieces that weren’t dry and unedible the other pieces were raw an would not come off the bone other pieces were pure fat…I guess we came to early? Nothing was fresh the macaroni and cheese did not taste like cheese no seasoning and dry in texture and in pieces havent seen that unless its from the box or like it came from the bottom of the pan. The Greens and corn bread was the only thing that was edible and tasty. We were going to be new customers Soul food for a great price and Are business is up the street, I did read so many good/great reviews. I guess dont always believe what you read.

Loved the pulled pork and potato salad. I enjoyed the rib tips, brisket and mac and cheese. I will be back. Day 2 I put the brisket and rib tips in the oven to reheat. I enjoyed the brisket I think next time I’ll do pulled pork and brisket as my 2 meats with sides.

I’m a Southerner from North Carolina and was craving barbecue. I got the ribs and brisket plate with fries and fried cabbage & my daughter got the ribs with fried cabbage and creamed corn. The ribs were not very tender and were very fatty and cartilaginous. Not very much edible meat at all. Good flavor though. The brisket (in the picture) was not tender either. I feel like was not cooked long enough to break down the tough collagen fibers because it was very chewy and still wouldn’t break down while chewing. Couldn’t even swallow the ball of meat it formed in mouth so I had to just spit it out. The flavor was good though. The fried cabbage was more like steamed cabbage. It had a lot of the hard white core-like pieces that weren’t cooked as soft as the very few thin leaves. My serving had mostly the harder white pieces. The flavor of the cabbage was good but a bit salty on account if the huge chunks of salty pork in it. The fries were delicious though. Best thing on my plate! My daughter got the creamed corn on her plate and that was delicious too. I had a small sample of the brisket chili, which the owner had just made to add to the menu that evening (I may have even been the 1st customer to taste it!) and it was delicious. I wish he had brought it out BEFORE I ordered so I could’ve gotten that instead of the ribs & brisket. It tasted WAAAAY better than that nasty Skyline dog food chili everyone raves about in Cincinnati. Benin’s chili is REAL chili, thick with meat and beans, and is superior to Skyline! All in all, the food was just ok and it was too expensive for the amount of food I was able to eat and enjoy. My order was $40.72 for a rib & brisket plate w/2 sides and a rib plate with 2 sides and 1 can of Mt. Dew. If I go back, I will definitely just get the brisket chili, fries and creamed corn. The atmosphere was very much lacking. I understand that that particular location had recently opened but that’s no excuse for still having some of the decor from the previous restaurant tht occupied that space (which looked to have been a Subway restaurant by the pictures of sub rolls and veggies on the wall). The cashier (the owners family member I assume) was taking up one of the booths in the seating area with her tablet and other personal items she was using while she had no customers to tend to at the register. Which was a shame because there was only 2 booths and the other was already occupied by other customers. The small 2 seater table I sat at was very wobbly. I ended up just sitting in my car in the parking lot to eat.

Excellent BBQ and service! Perfect ribs and great brisket. The brisket Philly sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and super helpful. Just a great BBQ restaurant and I can’t wait to go back!
