⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Star Five Star!!!
I just want to give the biggest shout-out to Nha at the Benihana in Troy. He was my server the other night, and he was honestly one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever had at a restaurant. He’s been working there for over 19 years, and you can really tell by the way he treats people with so much care and respect.
Even though they were getting ready to close, he never rushed us, never made us feel like a burden, and just made the whole experience feel comfortable and special. The food was amazing, but his energy and kindness made it even better.
I felt so bad because he thought I wasn’t going to leave him a review — but the truth is, I just wanted to enjoy my food for a moment. I didn’t want to give him a quick, basic review. I wanted to write something real, because he deserved more than just a couple of words thrown together. I was honestly sad I didn’t have any cash left because I really wanted to tip him even more for how great he was.
Nha, if you ever see this, thank you so much. You made my night, and I truly appreciate your kindness. Benihana is lucky to have someone like you. If your ever find yourself at Benihana in Troy ask for Nha!!

Went here for lunch with some coworkers. It was very quiet I believe we were the first
customers. The service was nice and quick. The lady that served us got our orders and got our food to us very fast! Due to us being on a lunch break we didn’t sit at the hibachi side. She knew we were on a lunch break so she made sure we had everything we needed to eat, pay, and box up our food! She made sure to continually check on us and make sure we didn’t need anything. This was my first time coming here so I will definitely be back !

We had an amazing time at Benihana. We ate on the non-hibachi side and loved it!! There were three of us and we all got the “taste of Benihana” which is 3 courses. Choice of soup/salad, appetizer and main entree. It was all so good and our server Bet (I hope that is her!) was literally sooo sweet, funny and helpful! I can’t say enough good things about our experience and I will look forward to going back!!

Big disappointment for this location. Called in our lunch order 45min ahead of time.. was told it would be ready at 2:40pm, came to pick it up at 2:40pm and here I’m still sitting waiting for 4 burritos at 3:45pm. A whole hour later. Come on Benihana yall gotta do better. I can not recommend this location for any future patronage.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I would have walked out and left the moment the waitress started talking to us if it wasn’t my husband’s birthday. The waitress talked at us, not to us. We sat down she asked to take her drink orders. They were out of every kind of draft beer in addition to some bottled beers. So after much going through the list, we finally got to one they still had in stock. She made no suggestions. I ordered green tea and asked for sugar. When she came back with my tea there was no sugar and there was no beer. Soup and salad were brought out at the same time. After asking again I was given sugar over the back of a counter. Several packets in “my hand” with no spoon. I asked for a spoon it was given to me at a later time. I ordered the Benihana Trio and my husband ordered the specialty order with a steak and chicken and shrimp fried The salad was delivered without knives to cut it, it was very coarse and needed to be cut. The server if my husband a glass of beer and after a long, she finally brought him one. For my husband’s sake, I continue to bear with the poor service hoping that it would get better. But it didn’t, the cook came to the table. He was very inexperienced there was no entertainment and nothing fancy about his service. He placed a dirty dish on the table before it was used. The ventilation for the vent was poor I was saturated with the smell of the grill. The shrimp were overcooked. The cook forgot to put the shrimp and the shrimp fried rice and just threw them on top. All the food was oversaturated with both butter substance and salt. I was told they would sing Happy Birthday to my husband in Japanese and there was a young lady at the table with us for her birthday neither one of them got their birthday acknowledged anyway. We ordered a six-course meal that came with dessert but the dessert was not offered nor given. I was heartbroken, it was an important day to celebrate the man I love more than anything in this world. So, I definitely wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant. It was the worst.

Our family of 5 had an incredible dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was transporting – the perfect blend of modern chic and traditional Japanese aesthetics. The food was a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Our chef was amazing and very entertaining!

But what truly elevated the evening was our server, Joshua. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us through the various dishes with genuine enthusiasm. He was attentive without being intrusive, always there to refill our drinks or answer any questions we had. Such a wonderful person!

Joshua’s recommendations were spot-on, and his warm, friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience with top-notch service, Benihana – Troy is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Joshua as your server, you’re in for a truly special treat!”

A fantastic Hibachi restaurant!
The chefs are wonderful and put on a great performance every time. Get some hibachi, and you’ll be eating a lot of very tasty, fresh off the grill food.
The prices are a little up there if you have a lot of people, but you get a lot o food, a great experience, and maybe some leftovers.
Although, I wouldn’t recommend the dine-in area outside of happy hour. The dishes are pricey, small, and aren’t nearly as good as the hibachi food.
