I just want to give the biggest shout-out to Nha at the Benihana in Troy. He was my server the other night, and he was honestly one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever had at a restaurant. He’s been working there for over 19 years, and you can really tell by the way he treats people with so much care and respect.
Even though they were getting ready to close, he never rushed us, never made us feel like a burden, and just made the whole experience feel comfortable and special. The food was amazing, but his energy and kindness made it even better.
I felt so bad because he thought I wasn’t going to leave him a review — but the truth is, I just wanted to enjoy my food for a moment. I didn’t want to give him a quick, basic review. I wanted to write something real, because he deserved more than just a couple of words thrown together. I was honestly sad I didn’t have any cash left because I really wanted to tip him even more for how great he was.
Nha, if you ever see this, thank you so much. You made my night, and I truly appreciate your kindness. Benihana is lucky to have someone like you. If your ever find yourself at Benihana in Troy ask for Nha!!
customers. The service was nice and quick. The lady that served us got our orders and got our food to us very fast! Due to us being on a lunch break we didn’t sit at the hibachi side. She knew we were on a lunch break so she made sure we had everything we needed to eat, pay, and box up our food! She made sure to continually check on us and make sure we didn’t need anything. This was my first time coming here so I will definitely be back !
But what truly elevated the evening was our server, Joshua. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us through the various dishes with genuine enthusiasm. He was attentive without being intrusive, always there to refill our drinks or answer any questions we had. Such a wonderful person!
Joshua’s recommendations were spot-on, and his warm, friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience with top-notch service, Benihana – Troy is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Joshua as your server, you’re in for a truly special treat!”
The chefs are wonderful and put on a great performance every time. Get some hibachi, and you’ll be eating a lot of very tasty, fresh off the grill food.
The prices are a little up there if you have a lot of people, but you get a lot o food, a great experience, and maybe some leftovers.
Although, I wouldn’t recommend the dine-in area outside of happy hour. The dishes are pricey, small, and aren’t nearly as good as the hibachi food.
