Unfortunately, this place was an utter disappointment. Upon walking in you can tell this place is unkept and lacking in cleanliness. The manager is walking around, so you would think he’s on top of the management of the restaurant , but overall service was bad and place was really dirty. I’ve been to local hibachi restaurants which offer better service and food, plus prices aren’t as steep. I took these pictures because this restaurant needs a deep cleaning. I couldn’t help noticing the dirty walls, which are visible to the public, then imagining how the kitchen looks. Overall, ~$50 a plate I expect some standard, cleanliness and decent service. Kudos to chef, he’s was nice.

Went here on Valentines Day so it was very busy. The food fresh and cooked to perfection. Our chef and waitress was right on point and very and efficient. I highly recommend. We definitely be going back!

We had an amazing server named Kevy who took care of us. Management needs to give her a shoutout for her service! Would return just for her! Everything was delish and piping hot!

Gotta give it a solid three. Place wasn’t very clean and the food was really salty. Used to be a really upper class place to have dinner, now It’s just mediocre and old at best. The screaming children that were finger painting with fried rice probably didn’t help much either for the atmosphere or price.

We had a fantastic experience at Benihana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun, and the staff truly went above and beyond.

From start to finish, the service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. What really stood out was how the team made my nephew’s birthday dinner extra special. They went out of their way to celebrate him and made the entire evening memorable for our family.

Great food, great service, and an experience that felt personal rather than rushed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend for special occasions or just a great night out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience!

We had the best time at Benihana thanks to our amazing chef, Luis! You could tell right away that Luis truly loves what he does—his energy, enthusiasm, and passion made the whole meal unforgettable. Every flip of the spatula, every joke, and every perfectly cooked bite showed how much he enjoys his job and cares about his guests’ experience.

Luis kept everyone at the table laughing, engaged, and entertained from start to finish, and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s rare to see someone who takes so much pride in their work and brings so much joy to others at the same time.

Thank you, Chef Luis, for making our dinner so special—you turned a simple meal into a memorable experience for our birthday and anniversary!!

My husband and I usually come to this location often. I will have to say they have a really bad bug problem. They sat us at one table and had to move us. We were eating and killing bugs at the same time. It was just so gross. I brought it to the managers attention and he said nothing at all. Came to the table and said he added a discount…. I was like I hope you all get this taken care of…. Ridiculous, the server never came back. We had to get our ticket from the manager

For my first time going it was a great experience. I do wish the server assigned would have explained how everything went as far as with ordering and the menu. She just went straight In to taking our orders. I think it was rather busy for her. The cook was fantastic it was definitely a show. I would go back just to see Gerardo! Overall I would definitely go again.

I want to start by saying our chef was absolutely amazing. If you are able to request a particular chef’s section, then I recommend Marcos (not sure of spelling). He had entertainment, jokes, personality, and food was wonderful. He turned what started to be an unfavorable first-time experience to a positive one.

The reason for the 3-star rating was due to the reservation process. I read prior reviews and hoped they got this all sorted out, especially since we didn’t go on a special weekend. We had a reservation at 8:15 and arrived at 8:07 to check-in. We didn’t get seated until 9. Once we were seated, we didn’t get our drink order taken until 9:20. We finished dinner at 10:40. This is ridiculous for it to take that long to get seated and have drink order taken. I hope they fix this…still on the fence about going back. Marcos, you rock! Thanks for a fun time.

We had a 5:45 PM reservation at Benihana – Las Colinas and the experience was frustrating overall. We arrived on time and still waited about 30 minutes to be seated. After sitting down, it took another 15 minutes to be helped and almost 30 more minutes for the chef to arrive.
I ordered the Trio for my wife and chicken and rice for my son. When the fried rice was made, leftover chicken was split among five people instead of going to my son. I shared my portion with him. At the end of the meal, my wife realized she never received her chicken at all. Our server only checked on us once after drinks, so there wasn’t much opportunity to correct it.
We arrived at 5:45 PM and didn’t receive our bill until 8:30 PM.
The most uncomfortable part was paying. The tip screen only offered 18%, 20%, or 22%. Given the missing food and lack of service, I planned to leave 15%. However, the server was hovering over my shoulder while I was entering the tip, which felt extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because of that pressure, I lowered the tip even further.
She then confronted me and said she wanted to educate me on how to tip, explaining that a low tip “comes out of her pocket” because tips are split with the chef. We had already given the chef a generous cash tip separately. Tips are based on service quality — they are not automatic or guaranteed, especially when part of the meal was never delivered. Hovering over a guest during payment and confronting them afterward is inappropriate and disrespectful.
The food wasn’t bad, but the service and overall experience were disappointing. We won’t be returning.
