It was my first ever experience of Hibachi. I would say it is a good experience. At Benihana experiencing Hibachi was fun and theatrical dining. It is a good place for celebrations. If you prioritize entertainment and interactive service, it can be worth the premium price.

The food was flavorful; we asked for a little extra spice. The soup that they serve is the star of the meal. I don’t like seafood but my partner mentioned that their shrimps were great in taste.

The chicken and the fried rice were cooked to perfection with a balanced flavor.

At the they served ice-cream – it was a disappointment. The vanilla didn’t taste like vanilla and it was more of a shake than ice-cream but overall, it was a great experience.

Thanks to our friends to took us there.

I had higher expectations coming into this well known restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
When we walked in, the atmosphere and overall vibe felt very outdated. This place is stuck somewhere around 2010. The decor was tired, the space felt neglected, and honestly looked like it hadn’t been dusted in decades. The bathrooms were dirty (I regret not taking a picture) and made me want to leave right away.

My sister who was celebrating her birthday made reservations for patio seating, but those were not honored, and no acknowledgment or apology was offered. That set the tone for the night.

The pricing was also surprising in a negative way. I expect higher prices from a restaurant that is well known and also being closer to the city, but $35 for hibachi chicken plus $2 extra if you want to add teriyaki and $2 extra to make spicy, but what really felt excessive was an extra $6 to upgrade to fried rice and then considering the “hibachi vegetables” was only zucchini and onion. Drinks being about $17 each is the new norm for Atlanta and Buckhead area, which doesn’t help balance the experience at all.

Our 5 course hibachi meal was incomplete, as we never received the dessert that was to be included. To make matters worse, after paying the bill and sending the server his tip through cash app as requested by him, he completely disappeared. The fire alarm going off in the middle of dinner just added to the chaos.

Between the mediocre food, overpriced menu, dirty facilities and lack of service, this visit was a huge letdown. For such a well known restaurant, I expected so much more. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it.

Visited the restaurant on 2/28 for a group dinner. Took 20 mins to get seated for a 7PM reservation. Once we were seated it took 1 hour to receive bar drinks and soup. This was after a complaint to the manager. The food is extremely overpriced for the quality and portions. The rice was undercooked, hard and crunchy. Complained and got a new batch of rice. The scallops tasted fine just small portion for the $47 price tag. The chef was unenthusiastic, hard to understand and sid little to provide entertainment to the table. If you want a tasty and fun hibachi show go somewhere else.

I had given up on this location but I am so glad that I gave them another chance. They exceeded all of my expectations. Our server Tibor was phenomenal! Great energy, very attentive and friendly. The food was great and of great quality. This experience will definitely bring me back.

Tried this location because Buckhead location was awful! This location is aesthetically better but the food was not! I’m not sure if it was the time I came (hour before closing) but zero flavor. I expected so much better, the bartender did a fantastic job but that’s where it ends. Won’t be returning

Benihana Alpharetta Management,
I am reviewing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your restaurant. My husband and I had reservations, yet upon arrival, we were informed that we would need to wait an additional hour and a half. This was very surprising, as the purpose of making a reservation is to have a guaranteed time honored.
What was even more concerning is that there appeared to be multiple tables ahead of us, despite our reservation. When we asked for clarification, management explained that guests were not leaving and that the restaurant could not ask them to vacate. While I understand the desire to provide a relaxed dining experience, on holidays—especially when many families have reservations—a reasonable table time limit (such as two hours) would help ensure fairness and accommodate all guests.
The atmosphere felt chaotic, and unfortunately, the staff’s demeanor suggested that this situation was considered normal. This was our very first Christmas together, and we traveled over two hours to dine at your establishment. Sadly, this experience left us extremely disappointed, and I do not plan to return.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve the reservation process and overall guest experience.

Anyone planning on dining here RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN & FIND ANOTHER ESTABLISHMENT.

The fact that you all are still taking reservations on open table and online is beyond me when your 6:30 people have not been seated!!! SERVE YOUR HUNGRY GUEST WHOS BEEN WAITING WITH RESERVATIONS

Everything was great! We had 2 birthdays and this was a first-time experience for one person in our party. We were welcomed with a smile, our server was nice and attentive, and our cook Jason was able to converse with all of us throughout the dinner, including one of the birthday girls who speaks Spanish and is learning English. He put on quite the show! The food and service were wonderful! We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing experience at Hibachi from start to finish. Our cook, Rigo, was absolutely phenomenal, full of energy, engaging, and incredibly personable. He didn’t just cook the food; he truly elevated the entire experience. You could tell he is well-trained and highly skilled, because every dish was cooked beautifully and to perfection. The flavors were spot-on, everything was fresh and well-prepared, and his confidence and professionalism really stood out.
On top of that, our server was just as wonderful, polite, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. We never felt rushed or overlooked. What really made the night special was how everyone greeted us and came over to speak, making us feel more than welcome from the moment we walked in.
Overall, the food, service, and hospitality were outstanding. Rigo and the entire team created such a fun, warm, and memorable experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great hibachi with amazing vibes. ️✨

First time at any Benihana. I enjoyed the ginger dressing on the salad. But be aware that ginger has a slightly bitter bite that not everyone will enjoy. I also liked the Benihana onion soup, which had mushrooms, and i think little fried onions in it. I ordered the pan fried pork gyoza dumplings. There are 6 to an order so depending on group size, a nice little tease before dinner. I ordered the salmon with white rice (it came with noodles also) and the avocado tartar sauce (which I did not receive). My niece and cousin both ordered the Hibachi steak with chicken fried rice. I only took a photo of my niece’s plate as she also asked for extra butter on her rice. Hibachi Chef Elliott did a wonderful job double checking orders as 2 people had food allergies. His ‘grill’ work was also wonderful. We had a great waiter, whose name I have forgotten. He was great at checking on us and getting us to go containers for our leftover.

First off let me be clear in saying me and my familt had a awesome time . Our server Kimora was great , Kendric was our chef and he is usually good but last night my food was awful . My rice was hard and over cooked , & my chicken and shrimp had no flavor. I am usually excited to eat my leftovers the next day but I wasn’t at all this time . The best thing I had was my lemon drop . It will be a while before I return.
