The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. I’ve been to a lot of indian restaurants in my time but what I like about this place particularly is that they have unique options that you don’t see in other places so it was quite intriguing. I’ll will definitely come back with my family and friends.

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The value for money is incredible, with extremely generous portions and food that tastes absolutely divine. Every bite was packed with bold spices and rich flavors that truly burst on the palate and instantly brought back beautiful memories of home. I didn’t just enjoy the food I absolutely loved it.

The atmosphere made the experience even better. The dining area is lovely, with perfect lighting that creates a warm and welcoming vibe without being too bright. Getting there was a breeze, and even though I was initially worried about parking, it turned out to be super easy and completely stress-free. From the food to the ambiance to the convenience, everything was spot on. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Stopped by Bengal Lounge on a bit of a whim and ended up having one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in a long time. The staff were genuinely lovely — relaxed, attentive, and happy to have a proper conversation rather than just taking orders. It instantly made the place feel comfortable and welcoming.
The food didn’t disappoint either. Portions were generous, flavours were spot on, and everything felt freshly made and well thought out. For the quality and amount of food you get, the prices are more than fair. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why eating out is meant to be enjoyable, not rushed or complicated. We’ll definitely be back.

Bengal Lounge is easily one of the finest South Asian restaurants in Cambridgeshire. The food is exceptional, with beautifully balanced flavours, high-quality ingredients, and dishes that clearly reflect genuine culinary expertise rather than imitation. Every meal is consistently well-presented and deeply satisfying.

The ambience is equally impressive: modern, elegant, and welcoming, with tasteful décor that creates a relaxed yet refined dining environment. Service is attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, adding to the overall experience without ever feeling intrusive.

Bengal Lounge delivers excellence across food, atmosphere, and service, making it a standout destination and a clear must-visit for anyone seeking outstanding South Asian cuisine in the region.

Bengal Lounge is honestly one of those places you keep going back to because everything just feels right. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — they make you feel looked after from the moment you walk in, and nothing ever feels rushed or forced. You can tell they genuinely care about giving you a good experience, which makes a big difference when you’re out with friends or family.

The food is amazing value for money. The portion sizes are very generous, and everything comes out fresh, full of flavour, and cooked properly. You definitely leave feeling satisfied, especially considering how reasonably priced it is for the quality you’re getting. We always end up ordering more than we planned because it’s hard to resist.

It’s a really comfortable, relaxed place to eat, whether it’s a family meal or a catch-up with friends. Great service, great food, great portions — Bengal Lounge never disappoints!

Bengal Lounge is one of those places that just gets it right every time. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in, which makes such a difference when you’re out for a relaxed meal. The food is always generous, full of flavour, and great value for money — you never leave hungry. It’s a really comfortable place to sit, eat, and enjoy your time, whether you’re with family or friends. Easily one of our favourite spots.

Every time I come here, they give me a warm welcome, accommodating my drunken misgivings, and giving me the best service.

They always go the extra mile. Sometimes they have stretched their opening times to accommodate, which is greatly appreciated.

Also, they love chatting football! Would recommend to anyone as a place to eat-in or takeout! Great for a family event, but also for spontaneous moments (like having just moved house and not having energy for cooking!).

They’re the best!

Visited on Saturday night at 6:30 and got our usual warm welcome. Although they were fairly busy the service was pretty quick, considering. It did feel at times though like the staff were a bit overwhelmed with having most of the tables filled, even though it was a Saturday evening.

The popadoms and chutneys were fresh and the beers were nice and cold.

The starters was a mixed experience – the tandoori chicken was great, but the prawn puree sadly was a bit disappointing. The prawns were a bit overcooked and the flavours weren’t quite there this time.

Mains were really nice, however my egg rice was quite hard, so it wasn’t a very pleasant texture. Usually there are no problems with the rice at this restaurant and we’ve visited many times, but this plus the issue with the rubbery prawns left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Also, the Bombay potatoes were really hard.

We will think about coming back as the service is always friendly and the atmosphere welcoming, but overall it wasn’t a cheap dinner and we’ve had much better experiences here and elsewhere for the same or less money.
