We went to Bengal Kabab and Grill after seeing its Google reviews and decided to try their buffet dinner. Honestly, this place was a total disappointment. They advertise themselves as a Bangladeshi restaurant, but the food was nowhere close to authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. As a Bangladeshi myself, I can confidently say the dishes were mostly Indian-style, and even then, they didn’t taste good at all. In fact, I myself can cook better than its chef ♀️
The hygiene of the restaurant was another major concern—very poor upkeep. What annoyed me most was the gulab jamun section, where they had a sign that said “2 pieces per person.” Who does that in a buffet? That’s simply ridiculous.
They also served milk tea at the beginning, which tasted awful and was given in a cup so tiny it felt like a toy. Totally unacceptable for a buffet experience.
The only positive I can mention is the service! The guy at the counter was very polite and cordial. But that alone doesn’t make up for everything else that was wrong.
Overall, I was completely disgusted and will never return to this restaurant. Definitely not recommended.

This was my very first time trying Bengali food. I almost played it safe and ordered my usual comfort food—biryani—but I stopped myself and asked the owner what he recommended. He suggested the Lamb Shank with rice, and honestly, I was a little scared to try it.
But let me tell you… after the first bite, I couldn’t stop eating. It was SO good. They also gave us some gulab jamun when we sat down, which was such a sweet gesture (literally and figuratively ).
This place is amazing—it gave me that cozy, nostalgic feeling of eating a home-cooked meal made by your mom.

This is hands down the best Bangladeshi restaurant in the USA. I have tried tens of Bangladeshi restaurants in NYC, but none would come close to this. We tried their hilsha and duck vindalo. The hilsha curry had the most delicious hilsha gravy I ever had, I could literally eat 100 plates of rice just with the gravy. The slight spicy taste of the duck complemented the sweetness of the hilsha curry. They also give free pakora if the order is above 35/40 in uber eats. We also tried their hilsha rasmalai and it too was amazing. It feels like its worth living in Pittsburgh just to eat at this restaurant.
