The Belvedere Bar, situated in the lobby of the Gaylord National Resort, is truly the standout among the resort’s many dining and drink options. It has quickly become my favorite spot on the property. The service is consistently prompt and attentive, and the bartenders craft drinks that are both impressively balanced and strong.
A particularly thoughtful feature is their self-serve water station—an excellent convenience, especially given the high volume of guests the resort attracts. It’s a small detail that demonstrates the bar’s commitment to guest comfort and efficiency.
During the holiday season (November and December), the Belvedere Bar offers what is arguably the best seat in the house for viewing the resort’s Christmas tree light show. Enjoying a well-made cocktail while taking in the festive ambiance makes for a truly memorable experience.
Highly recommend stopping by—whether you’re staying at the resort or simply visiting, the Belvedere Bar is a must.

Sidecar was a bit sweet for my taste, did not come garnished or rimmed, and had chunks of ice in it from being improperly strained, you would expect a bit more finesse for $20.

My family of three stayed Memorial Day Weekend 2019. Price gouging, Dirty Pool, No Room cleaning service and Who cares Valet service; a start to finish disaster. Yikes!!! Stay at a neighboring property but not here.
PRICE GOUGING FOOD: Margarita $10.50 for 10oz glass (mostly ice), Whiskey & Diet starts at $10 for 10oz Glass and a cheese board at the Belvedere Lounge for $18. In fact, on Sunday 5/25/19 no other “Savory” items were available. How can this happen?
ADVICE: Bring your own Snacks, Drinks and Sundries or pay 2 to 4 times the average cost. Bring comfortable shoes for walking this is a huge property. If you forget anything, walk the local the CVS they have much better pricing. Don’t expect a smooth customer experience or all of the menu items listed.

I ordered a gimlet, and watched the bartender pull out a rocks glass, fill it with ice, pour in a standard pour of Hendricks, and a whisper of Rose’s. A lime wedge was on my glass, and I asked the bartender if they had fresh lime and simple. I was told they were out.
This “drink” was $17.
Never drink here.

Crowded lobby bar in The Gaylord National Harbor.
Small appetizers. Some quite
good. None very substantial or filling. Fried quinoa and Parmesan bites are worthwhile. Drinks are small

Extremely below average food. We had drinks and a meat and cheese plate. The drinks weren’t really very good and tasted cheap and watered down. The meat and cheese plate was abysmal. The cheeses weren’t the best quality, the condiments weren’t fresh and the crackers were stale. All of this was very overpriced too. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN.

Located in the huge atrium of the Gaylord National, the Belvedere Lobby Bar is somehow both spacious and intimate. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink without a lot of noisy crowds and giant TV screens everywhere, this is your best bet in all of National Harbor. The river view is nice, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly. Prices are on the higher side, but not bad for a decent hotel bar.

After sitting for about 5 minutes, and not a very busy night, I had to finally ask someone who was working the section. Meaning the couch right in the middle of the whole place. I ordered the old fashion and when it came I was shocked. In a low ball glass with a large round ice cube barely half a glass. For $15, this wasn’t going to pass. I couldnt get the server to come back and had to chase someone down again. I told the next person to take it back and give me my bill. The manager then came back with the drink with a little more in ithe glass and blamed it on the F&B manager.
So the joke is that you go downstairs to the National Pastime and they pour you a full glass. Granted it’s a different old fashion, but I think you get the point.
Other than this, its a great tasting drink with a great view.
