Food is great. A large percentage of the menu is pasta based – which I appreciate. I believe all of the pastas are house made and very well prepared. They also have a rather well curated selection of salads and mains.
Service was good. Nothing particularly memorable, but staff were all helpful and friendly.
Atmosphere is solid. We especially love the back patio – which is right on Hudson street. It’s dog friendly, quieter than College Ave, and provides nice atmosphere especially as the sun sets.
Great spot. I’d definitely return.
Staff is welcoming and service is great.
We sat at our reservation at 11:05 and loved the simple menu. Our server was helpful with recommendations and we ordered an appetizer, three entrees and two desserts.
The lettuce salad they were nice enough to split into three separate portions and it was tasty with the pine nuts. The entrees were great, I loved my stuffed pasta and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her mushroom pasta. My friend got a gluten free pasta with bolognese and she also enjoyed it.
Dessert we tried the chocolate pasta and it was very interesting, nothing I’ve tried before! All in all, a great experience and fair prices
We ordered an appetizer and two pasta dishes, but waited a long time even to place the order. The bartender was making cocktails directly over the plates where people were eating, which felt inappropriate.
The menu didn’t list the beer price, which is unusual and unprofessional. The cured meat and cheese platter was very poor quality — the cheese tasted sour and everything seemed low-grade.
Before the main courses arrived, a waiter spilled water on my wife. We politely asked to move to one of the empty tables (which remained empty for 20–40 minutes), but were told they were reserved. We decided to leave without eating the main dishes, yet they still charged us for the terrible appetizer.
I am Italian and have lived in the area for three years, and there was not even the slightest presence of Italian staff inside.
Very disappointing experience.
Reservations are essential—Belotti books up regularly. Belotti offers a nicely sized list of European beers and wines in addition to house cocktails. Bread is complimentary and served with delicious olive oil. The watermelon salad was a miss for us last month–not enough flavor. But the amaretti cookie crumble with the burrata was inspired.
Tomatos were amazing in the pazza idea, duck flavors rich and bigolia filling for the sugo d-anatra, and the casoncelli bergamashi sings of the coming autumn.
The tiramisu uses a custardy mascarpone and no alcohol, which is a regional style–not my favorite. But the chocolate pasta with strawberries is a fun try.
