The unagi in the caterpillar roll did not taste right. The miso soup tasted more like ginger than miso, unusual flavor, no seaweed. The salmon avocado roll was just okay.

Food was really good and flavorful I got the Dandan bento with some pan fried pork dumplings. I spent around $31 without tip. Expected higher prices I mean it is Portland. But their good is from $8 for a starter to $16 for a meal. I will definitely come back for some ramen. I saw a lot of customers eating their noodle dishes.

I came to Portland to visit my friends and my friends suggested me to try some food carts. She highly recommended the Sushi Burrito food cart. It’s fresh experience for me. We ordered a Tokyo Rose burrito and a pork miso ramen. The burrito was really surprised me since the I could feel crisp of veggies, tenderness and freshness of the fish in a bite. That’s amazing. The pork miso ramen soup was authentic as I had in Japan. By way, the lady who worked there was super friendly. It worths to stop by again before I leave Portland.

The spicy sushi burrito hit the spot. Good amount of fish, flavorful sauce, and fresh veggies made it delicious.

Very delicious sushi burrito. Gyoza and seaweed salad were standardly yummy. Order was pretty quick even on a Friday evening!

Update, unfortunately: the cart changed ownership and quality of the sushi burritos went way down as the carrots were chopped way to thick, bruised iceberg lettuce is used and the sauce is not as flavorful.
So the below comment is only for the first owner, if she comes back…
The best sushi burrito I have ever had. Her flavor and texture combinations are spot-on.
Fresh fish, crispy thin sliced vegetables, tightly rolled with flavorful crab.
Wish I didn’t have to travel 30 minutes to get it as all the sushi I have tried elsewhere pales in comparison. Super kind, generous, artistic and friendly owner. A treat to visit her cart!

I got the miso ramen. All the ingredients were missing seasoning and the broth was overly salty. Reminds me of packaged ramen noodles broth… they didn’t even have pork broth which is a must! Noodles were undercooked. Terrible toppings, not even close to original flavors, and not even combined well. In general, very underwhelming… Sad ramen. This is for people who don’t know ramen. They didn’t put any effort into that dish. Disappointment and too expensive for what they serve.

This cart has new management or something and the food is fine if you have little experience with good food.
I just had a ramen with a “seasoned egg” that had never in its life even met soy sauce. That egg didn’t know her. The broth was pale and flat, the pork under seasoned, just a terrible sad state of affairs

I have eaten ramen from food carts in Shanghai, and the famous Kodawari Ramen in Paris, in New York and Berlin, in Toronto and London and Belmont Kitchen’s Dan Dan is one of the best bowls of ramen I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Sweet and salty and spicy, the perfect harmony of sesame, garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, and shitake all make the most buttery umami broth I’ve ever had, just the right amount of heat. It’s perfect on a damp Portland evening, eaten under the little lot tent, lit by a neon open sign. It’s an entire beautiful vibe around this perfectly beautiful dish.
The dumplings, and sushi rolls are also delicious, consistently well made, but the next best thing on the menu is the inari. I could not recommend this little unassuming cart enough – the host is also lovely and warm, making every visit feel special as well as nourishing ( and the egg is always perfect. How do they do that??) .

I had a sushi burrito here. It was very good. The only issue is that I ordered the burrito and then waited about 20 to 30 minutes. I finally went up to the food cart to ask how much longer my order would be. She asked what I ordered and then looked at her list and didn’t seem to have it on her list. Then she told me that she thinks she might have given it to somebody else. I’m not sure what happened but finally she said well here’s one that somebody ordered but never picked up so she gave me that. She didn’t really ask me but at that point I didn’t want to wait any longer. I would say this place is worth a try. I never had a sushi burrito before, and it’s not too heavy for a warm summer evening.
