This is one of the oldest bars in Memphis and it feels like a local dive bar. They have limited parking in the back. The bathroom can fit 1-2 people at a time. The inside lighting is extremely dark.
They have happy hour until 6PM. My first drink had some type of grit in it and the server did nothing about it. They still charged me for the drink. The order drinks were fine. The redfish sandwich was really good. I wish they gave more tartar sauce and had some hot sauce.

First visit and I will come back. Chose the Shrimp PoBoy and I would order that again. My partner got the chicken strips and was happy. The onion rings are really good, not quite as fat as Huey’s but a similar breading. Too full for desert. Great service by Kris. Enjoy.

This was my first visit to the Belmont grill, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I ordered the grilled shrimp salad, it was quite delicious. The shrimp was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, the lettuce was cool and chrisp with all the requisite accompanying vegetables. My friend had their signature Belmont Burger which he said was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and new the menu well, she was attentive without being overbearing.
All in all was a delightful experience and I would suggest if you haven’t you should try it out.

Don’t let the bar atmosphere fool you. It’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. However, 9 times out of 10 is the burger for me. It’s a challenge to find a better burger. My wife and I will trek all the way from MS when we get a craving for one of their burgers. Plenty of TVs to catch a game too.

We loooooove this place. It is an institution in Memphis and has some of the best food. We started with onion rings and fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce that was killer good.
I had the grilled chicken sandwich with potato skins for a side. Friends got the hamburger and roast beef au juice.
The atmosphere is cool with the lights down low. The bar is a classic neighborhood fixture. Rachel did a great job serving us as well. We can’t wait to go back.

Great food and service. The atmosphere is kinda retro and homey. The fried cheese sticks were fantastic. I got the shrimp po’ boy with onion rings and they were cooked to perfection. The portions are large so get ready to take home some leftovers. The fries are steak cut and delicious. Not the cheapest restaurant, but not terribly expensive. Definitely worth it. A great place to go on a date.
