Went here with my wife and a friend for my birthday and the food was absolutely incredible. Zach is not only a world class chef, but a great host. It’s so fun to watch him work right on front of you preparing all the wonderful dishes. We had just come back from a trip and Bello Chef’s Table was way better than both Michelin star restaurants we ate at there. Wine pairings were perfect as well. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a spectacular experience at the Chef’s Table last night. The food was superb, the staff was attentive and made us all feel welcome. The five star dining experience we wanted and needed in OC.

Chef Zach is highly talented, knowledgeable, and fun to be with. We learned that the menu changes weekly, which showcases the chef’s brilliant creative expression. In addition, the food is sourced from a curated collection of local farmers, and even some of the wine pairings we enjoyed were limited edition in the US.

Highly recommend this experience! We can not wait to return.

We have discovered another young incredibly talented chef that is very much flying under the radar. The chefs table is actually a bar looking into their open kitchen. in the middle of a strip mall Italian restaurant, Zach doesn’t really do menus as he likes to wing it as he goes along, like a sushi omakase where the chef sizes up his guests and their reactions and modifies it as he goes along. Drove me nuts as I was trying to do wine pairings ahead of time but he changed the menu way too many times to keep up. All the dishes are farmers market driven, with most incorporating ingredients from Chino farms. Meats and seafood are wild/grass fed and curated with care. His creative sauces and seasonings are what really stand out. The dishes are bold yet well-balanced. Zach is a chef savant who combines ingredients in an avant guard style , and it works. He uses buttermilk and yogurt instead of cream. Many of the ingredients are fermented. And all the plates are custom designed like what they did at Alinea so the presentations are artful and make the food look even more enticing. This guy is going places. I’ve been to the Chef’s Table at Bello three times now. Every time is better than the last. Chef Zach has an incredible way of blending concepts that are new and innovative with comforting and familiar tastes. I’m still thinking about the spring onion tartlet that was served last time I was there! So good.

The wine pairing with the dinner is also very well thought out. Each dish is paired well with a wine that helps to enhance or balance its flavors. I can’t wait to go back and see what is in store for us next time!

This is our second time dining at the Chef’s Table at Bello. We had another fun-filled dining experience, which consisted of a 12-course meal with wine pairing. Each dish was beautifully presented with fresh, seasonal ingredients and layers of flavor to complement the main ingredient. The wine pairings also complemented each dish. Chef Zach did an excellent job using creative techniques to enhance flavors and showcase the ingredients. I highly recommend this dining experience for those who appreciate fine dining, meticulous attention to detail and are excited about trying new ingredients, new preparations and unique flavors.

I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy the Chef’s Table experience a few times now, and every time, I’m still blown away at the creativity and thoughtfulness of the menu that Chef Zach puts together.

Chef Zach makes the experience so memorable each time, and it’s so fun being able to talk and interact while he prepares each course.

The service was excellent. The two chefs were gracious hosts, serving us five courses. However one of the dishes, which was an Asian noodle with guancali style fish and squid ink sauce needs attention. Two issues here: the dish was so salty it was inedible and the black sauce stained our teeth and lips without us noticing for maybe ten minutes while we faced the entire kitchen staff. I turned to my dining companion and thought he was in KISS because his lips were so black. When we realized this embarrassing situation we tried to wipe off the sauce but it was hard to get off.

The final course, dessert, was really fun and an homage to friendship. So good that was a nice to finish the meal.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The creativeness Chef Zach has and the quality of the ingredients is bar none. The main dining menu is superb and the tasting menu is outta this world. 10/10 would recommend for an exceptional dining experience!!

Chef’s table at Bello was a fantastic experience! Chef Zach prepares exquisite dishes as we watched. Each dish perfectly combines flavors and textures and each bite is a testament to the Chef’s training and experience with quality foods. He warns early on in the meal to pace yourself while enjoying the twelve dishes, but the rich flavors ensure that you want to savor each exquisite morsel. The two + hours of enjoying new dishes that expand the palate and desire to come back for another bite or plate. It is a complete sensory experience. Looking forward to next time.
